The 991.2 Porsche 911 really is the everyday sports car. Not conspicuous but also not mundane. With so many variants available, its hard not to find a 911 that fits YOUR needs and wants. The engine is sublime, the interior is refined and well built, and the cockpit ergonomics are unmatched. After driving a 911 (any variant), any other sub-150K sports car is just Meh. One of the underappreciated aspects of using this car on a daily basis is how easy it is to live with: the outward visibility is excellent, the tech is great, and the car is comfortable on long drives. When looking for your first 911, you should consider with a well-loved 991. I prefer the "Dot 2's" because of the turbo engine and the Apple CarPlay but the 991.1's have a charm of their own and shouldn't be discounted. One of the few drawbacks to any 911 is the road noise...you will have to get used to hearing those big tires hitting the road and if you drive on rough roads the majority of the time you WILL be annoyed (maybe look at a NSX or a C8 instead). Otherwise, you will not regret the ownership experience!

What can I say, the benchmark of sports cars. I have a 4S Cabrio. I chose the 4 as I like all-wheel-drive, even in Florida. Better grip. The S also has more horsepower. Build quality and fit and finish our superb. The ultimate sports car without all the problems of the Italian cars. You’d be hard to find a car with better handling and Performance. The look is timeless. There’s no mistake at what you’re looking at when you see a Porsche. Great car.

What can you say about any 911? The one I test drove was the S. It’s just the perfect sports car. Light, just enough power to go fast, not overwhelming. Comfortable, quiet, composed at any speed. The soft top is so quiet. Almost like a regular top. With the top down, you can still hold a somewhat normal conversation at highway speeds. Just the perfect car for a cruise or fast run on a sunny day.

I own a 2018 GTS 718 Boxster. This is my 4th Porsche, I've had 2 air cooled 911s and first gen Cayman S. This is by far the best car I've ever owned. Everything about is perfect. Looks excellent, handles excellent, sounds excellent in sport mode with the sport exhaust. You can actually hear noises from the turbo. Excellent power. I've always had manual transmissions and this is my first PDK and it's excellent as well, it's so smooth, you'd think Carlos Santana tuned it. First topless Porsche, my others were all coupes. Tell this girl take her top off and she does it almost instantly, topless in about 10 seconds, even when jogging! Gets thumbs up and "daaamn" remarks by passer by's. It's one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. Extremely fun to drive. I feel lucky and honored to own this car. If you have the opportunity to get one, do it, you won't regret it. Even the base model is excellent, I driven them too!

The 991 series of the 911 platform is one of their best ever. This car is a joy to drive. I did not think that I could leave the manual 6 speed of the 996 series but the PDK transmission has exceeded expectations!

Good review of a very desirable car but if you want credibility, research why the key is on the left. It's there for Le Mans starts ... remember, drivers ran across the track, jumped in the car and drove off without seatbelts fastened. Having the key on the left allowed the drivers to start the engine with the left hand and shift to first with the right - the cars were all angled off in the direction of the track so as soon as the engine started and the car was in gear, the hands would be brought back to steering.

I have had 3 Boxster s over the years and this one for over 10. Loved every minute driving it. Great pick up and handling plus two trunks to allow for hauling things. A real head turner. Just need to maintain it for it to keep running well. I'm only selling mine cause we moved down a dirt road and its too rutted for a sports car. I got it for a great price, so letting it go for thousands less than it's blue book.

After 911 turbos, and then having Cayman S's, I knew I wanted a 911 NA. A GT3 version seemed to fit the bill, but I could not find any to test drive. I bought a 2018 sight unseen and when it was delivered to my house, and drove it, is when I realized: you don't know until you know. There's a reason why Chris Harris can have any car he wants, and test drives all cars, and chooses a GT3 for himself. It is quick, not as fast as a turbo, but it screams like a banshee when getting up to 9k rpms. The experience is what sells this car. It is endearing and I will not let it go. No car ADD when it comes to the GT3. After years of ownership, it has not had a single issue. Definitely recommend.

I recently purchased A 2018 Alpina B7 from Ray at Motor Cars Of Chicago. When I purchased the car I made it clear to Ray that I was going to be in need of the title in ASAP fashion – Ray said I’d have the title within two weeks and boy did I just like he said he fulfilled the promise he made no questions asked. Also on the way home after taking delivery, I had a very minor problem that turned out to be a bad battery. Ray was unaware of when we took delivery of the car – Ray didn’t hesitate he reimbursed me for the batteries I had to have installed at the BMW dealer by the BMW dealer. He said the car was flawless and he stood behind that statement. Ray is very straightforward and no xx perhaps not full of warm fuzzies for everyone but a great way to do business, especially in the luxury and highline car business. I find Ray to be honorable direct and stand up and we’ll do business with him again if I had any reservations about doing business with them before this transaction, they are all completely gone and yours should be too. I've been fortunate to own several cars, including a 06 Boxster, 08 911 and now this 2013 911, which I purchased Certified with 27k miles on it. It does not disappoint, the sound, the handling, the drive is amazing and so typical Porsche. Still tight after more then 10 years and 2 prior owners. Wow. Love the car and yes, found it on Cars.com

I flew to San Jose, California 3/1/22 and bought a used 2000 Cabriolet, one owner, 54k miles. I drove down Pacific Coast Hwy over 2 days. To LA area and tooled around for a week. Had it inspected by a Porsche restorer who gave it 👍🏻👍🏻. Drove to Las Vegas through Death Valley with top down. After a couple of days drove to Phoenix. Spent several days running on desert roads. Then spent 6 days driving back to SC. Went through “Tail of Dragon” 5 times. I named the car the “Beast”. I love it and I’m a car guy but never had a car like this. Drove it 4500 miles in 18 days. Would recommend highly.
