This car is a rocket on 4 wheels. The PDK transmission shifts very quickly with no lag or delay in torque. In fact the torque seems to increase in addition to achieving great gas mileage. That's a formidable task compared to other performance cars. The car does sit low to the ground so if you have bad knees or hips then it might not be a good fit for you.

What can I say, the benchmark of sports cars. I have a 4S Cabrio. I chose the 4 as I like all-wheel-drive, even in Florida. Better grip. The S also has more horsepower. Build quality and fit and finish our superb. The ultimate sports car without all the problems of the Italian cars. You’d be hard to find a car with better handling and Performance. This review if for my ‘13 911 Cab(a very sweet ride); which I purchased as a two year old certified Porsche; which I just traded for a new ‘22 911S Cab, an even sweeter ride!! The only reason for the 4 for value for the money, these cars are very expensive, but for a young 78 year old guy just a great car if one can afford them.

I researched 911 vs 718 for almost two years. I drove a Carrera 4S at PECATL and loved it, but I wanted to keep my budget lower. A base 911, while a great car, just did not live up to the 718's nimbleness with its mid-mounted engine. I was lucky with my find - a GTS 4.0 It drives perfectly. The storage is ample enough for a large check-in suitcase up front. You also have the rear trunk. This can be a great daily driver with next-to-nothing for maintenance aside from regular oil changes and routine maintenance check-ups. I've put close to 4k miles and it is a special occasion each time I get in.

The 991.2 Porsche 911 really is the everyday sports car. Not conspicuous but also not mundane. With so many variants available, its hard not to find a 911 that fits YOUR needs and wants. The engine is sublime, the interior is refined and well built, and the cockpit ergonomics are unmatched. After driving a 911 (any variant), any other sub-150K sports car is just Meh. One of the underappreciated aspects of using this car on a daily basis is how easy it is to live with: the outward visibility is excellent, the tech is great, and the car is comfortable on long drives. When looking for your first 911, you should consider with a well-loved 991. I prefer the "Dot 2's" because of the turbo engine and the Apple CarPlay but the 991.1's have a charm of their own and shouldn't be discounted. One of the few drawbacks to any 911 is the road noise...you will have to get used to hearing those big tires hitting the road and if you drive on rough roads the majority of the time you WILL be annoyed (maybe look at a NSX or a C8 instead). Otherwise, you will not regret the ownership experience!
