The SAAB 9 3 is an amazing little sports car! As nice as any Acura or BMW. Great handling, quick and responsive, and the best part, you won't see another sitting across from you at the traffic light. You would have to be insane not to purchase a low mileage SAAB, they are a quarter of the price of any other luxury sedan. Better enjoy now before all the good ones are gone!

Great car overall. Drives very well and quite punchy and fun with a good turbo. Reliable, haven't had much issues so far. Value is great especially since they are loaded well and its less then 10k for a decent one. VERY VERY safe car, Saab's are extremely safe and this car gives you confidence that you are safe. I have a 2.0T which gets good mpg for its class, I once got around 40 mpg highway. The 2.0T is fun and punchy with impressive acceleration, most reliable too. If your willing to spend a little more and have significant funds for maintenance and repairs go for a 2.8T V6, which is fast. It handles well. Pros: 1. Well priced, good value 2. Stylish and unique design 3. Great cornering headlights xenon 4. Good engine, reliable if maintained, fast/quick 5. Very Safe, Swedish Metal 6. Jet fighter interior look Cons: 1. Rear seat legroom is a little disappointing but not a major issue for me, but if you have a large family i wouldn't recommend this car, go for a 9-5 instead. 2. Paint damages easily when older, these 9-3s can have paint peel issues in the long run if you live in hotter climates. 3. Some interior pieces aren't the best of quality for it's class. Door handles and small things, it can be creaky. Overall: Here and there it has minor disappointments but it definitely makes up for it very well. Great and fun car. I highly recommend this as a first car or commuter, maybe even for a small family.

I bought this car for my 18 yr old daughter,primarily because of the exceptional safety rating.The previous owner kept it very well maintained with meticulous records.What I didn't know was how much fun it is to drive.My daughter's one complaint is that at every opportunity I take it out to play with and she is "stuck" with my new Escape.

PROS: -Extremely comfortable, spacious interior -IIHS Top Safety Pick -Very handsome design still looks fresh -6-speed manual transmission provides better acceleration and fuel economy with 2.0T Ecotec 4-cylinder engine -Unique Saab features like night panel which illuminates only the speedometer -Agile handling, fun to drive -Very spacious trunk and split fold-down rear seats -Quiet and taut but comfortable ride CONS -Taillamp filaments can melt, rear turn signals need to be replaced with LEDs - GM panoramic sunroof drains need to be cleaned annually to prevent water from entering interior -Rear LED light bar fails and needs aftermarket modification to work - GM seat heaters fail and need replacement -Control buttons in center of instrument panel wear off and need aftermarket replacement -Limited availability for parts not shared with other GM products and a declining number of service option -So so rear visibility

This is the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Drove her off the lot brand new and 16 years later and 150K miles, she’s still smooth as silk. Only repairs are a window and windshield wiper!! So sad they don’t make these cars anymore.

Nice car, handles well. Plenty of room for passengers. This vehicle has ton of extras, leather, moonroof. The only negative is it does not allow Bluetooth hook up for cell phone.

The SAAB 9.3 is the best small sedan ever. It is exceptionally well built, well designed and well thought out. Gas mileage is great, performace is exceptional for its engine size/weight and handling is top notch for a front drive 4 door sedan. Interior ergonomics are unsurpassed in this type of vehicle, and it has the best heated seats in the world. Car was stone reliable and a joy to drive...until some celphone staring moron turned left into me. Even then, the SAAB shown thru - it held up exceedingly well ; the clown that ran into me was in a toyota and her car was so wadded up that you had to look at the trunk badge to even tell what it was. The SAAB would have fixed were it not for the cost of the airbags and the government's murdering its resale by giving the company to the red chinese. Were it not for the potential problem of parts availability, I would have replaced it with another immediately. As it is, we bought a Mercedes C class - and its not nearly the car the SAAB is.

First with the problem.... finding parts. It is now years since Saab closed down and I have had to do some hunting for parts for the very rarely needed repairs. It has been an excellent driving, reliable, quiet, and comfortable car! If you are comfortable searching online and crossing fingers when you buy a part then this is an excellent choice for the money! So sad that they are no longer being made.... I have owned this vehicle for a little over 6 1/2 years, was the third owner and put the most mileage on the vehicle.

My husband and I were just browsing through when Joe popped out to see if we needed any assistance. He answered some questions and grabbed some keys for a test drive. Honestly, we didn't plan on purchasing a vehicle on our first day looking but we absolutely loved our experience and Joe was so personable and felt very trustworthy. I have owned my 900 for about 1 year now and am in absolute love with it. I purchased my specific car in Seattle and drove it almost 1000 miles home and never once had an issue. It has been a pleasure to own, drive, and even work on. For a vehicle that’s close to 30 years old and has almost 200k miles on the odometer, it still handles and performs like a dream, feeling like a big boy go-cart. Chassis is rigid and super strong, even today (if you get a fairly rust free example of course), a testament to how well these cars were built. When you look past the weirdest of how everything is put together it is a fairly standard car to work on and not overly hard. No overly complicated electronics here and it serves its purpose well, the 92’ n/a came with a 2.1L DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder that was also well designed and built and is overall very reliable. Every car has its Achilles heel though and for the 900 it’s the gearboxes. The 5 speed doesn’t feel like something out of a luxury hatch as it does a John Deere tractor and doesn’t fit the car very well in my opinion. It works ok and if driven a certain way it will not give you many issues, but it’s no Honda tranny. If your mechanically inclined and have access to a shop, there’s plenty of upgrades you can do to improve the feel, rigidity, and reliability if you so choose. Overall, I love my car and all 900’s in general and the interior and exterior styling is just gorgeous in my opinion and is very tastefully designed. A worthy classic that you can find for a good price, the community is absolute gold too.

I recently purchased a 2004 Saab 9 3 Arc convertible. I knew very little about Saabs but they always intrigued me. I've only had it for a few days but I am very impressed with its overall quality, comfort and performance. Saab stopped making cars in 2012 because they could not compete with their Audi and Mercedes target market. Having owned both of those German brands, I think Saab approaches them in quality. Test drive one, I think you'll enjoy it.

This car was amazing. It lasted 12 years and 190,000 miles before a tree landed on it and it needed too many repairs. Over those 12 years is only needed an alternator and a seat rip repaired, that is it. The car was excellent as it handled well, it got great gas mileage (averaged 26 mpg in the suburbs, 35 or 36 mpg on the highway), and had nice acceleration with minimal turbo lag. The fact is was so durable made you overlook to some degree the unusual controls. The turn stalk felt flimsy like you could break it easily but over all those years nothing went wrong with it. The key is in the center but that was fine and Saab claimed they did it so you would not hit it with your knee in a car accident, and break your kneecap. This car even had one USB port even though it was a little before its time. The heads-up display worked well. Even though the car was badly damaged by the tree as I had to go off road and damaged the underside of my car badly, my mechanic bought it from me, fixed it, and sold it to a college student. Now it is 13 years old and has over 200,000 miles on the original powertrain. If that is not durable I don't know what is. No car I have owned has lasted as long as that one - not Toyota, not Honda. They also have lasted a long time but the transmissions on both of them died by 160,000 miles for the Toyota, by 140,000 on the Honda. If I could buy a relatively new one again I would but of course I cannot as they are no longer in business. Too bad, despite their quirks, they were durable, reliable, efficient cars.

Recently purchased a rare find 2003 Saab Convertible 9-3, one owner with low 45,000 miles. Love the way it handles and quality styling. I sold my 2015 Acura, which I Loved, because of the technology package. Simply didn’t drive enough to keep the system charged and constantly worrying about cost if something goes wrong. This little Saab is so adorable and I’m no longer stressed by all the bells and whistles of my Acura!
