The little thing is GREAT. Its quiet. It has power. It's roomy has plenty of space. The stereo works great. The gas mileage is BETTER THAN AVERAGE. ITS WELL WORTH BUYING. The car is roomy, seats fold completely flat and will fold down one at a time or both them at the same time. Has 6 air bags. You have plenty room in the back to stretch your legs. You can pack this little car with a lot of stuff med small and some large items. You can put 5 foot long items on one side and up to 3 foot wide if shorter than 5 foot. Dependable reliable cost effective maintenance is average basic oil changes and filter filters and the other as right tranny service coolant blush is as it needed it is a excellent vehicle for its price

Quick, easy, found us a higher loan with better financing terms than we could find. Very friendly. I'd go back at this point.

I bought new in 2013. Its a good reliable car. Its now 10 yrs old and I probably could get 10 More years. Very low maintenance. Just normal things like reg oil changes and tune ups. My only complaints are a rough ride. I suggest getting one size larger in tires. That helps with road noise. Its a tight fit up front. Not much elbow room with a passenger and seats are very hard . I suggest buying padded seat covers. Would I buy another ? Dont think so. I need more comfort

Great car for the money. You cant go wrong with a Toyota. This is hatchback with fold down rear seats. Lots of room. Great on gas. Low maintenance costs.

I have the 5 speed manual and am extremely happy with it. Super reliable never a single problem with it. If I had to nit-pick I'd say road noise maybe not the greatest above 65 mph. Great gas mileage. Seems to be built like a tank. Highly recommended....

Best car I have ever had ,I bought it 9yrs ago not 1 problem till now and the brake system has gone crazy been trying to fix it for 8 months,replaced all parts still no brakes! I'm so broken hearted about it,I love this little car

You will feel every bump in the road as you pass by multiple gas stations! Average mpg for me is pushing 40. It's a commuter car so as long as the radio works, who cares about the ride!

I bought this car brand new in 2008, manual transmission, and still own this car today. The car has 168,000 miles on it and has required some basic repairs, several ignition coils needed replacing, I've only changed the battery once. I had to replace the catalytic converter last year because I live in CA and failed a smog test. Beyond that, no issues whatsoever. In the 14 years I've owned the car I've probably put about $2000 into repairs not including tire replacements and oil changes. It's great for parallel parking too, just so easy to fit where most cars can't. Fun to zip around town in. Way roomier on the inside than what you'd expect from the outside. I've fit some crazy furniture in here thanks to the hatchback style. I absolutely love this car and hope to have it a few more years.

If you want the super reliability of a Toyota, with a little less of the monotonous styling (while still being kind of monotone, the xD is the car for you. I started out leasing this car as a gift for graduating college. It is a great vehicle (when it was produced) for those who are just starting out and need a nice, and ridiculously reliable car to travel to work, get stuck in traffic in, and go on weekend trips in. It certainly isn't the most comfortable on longer trips (my wife and I used it to travel 250 miles from where we lived in Vermont back to our hometowns in New Jersey). The seats surfaces start to feel even harder after 5 of sitting (even with breaks). However, I've found the car to be incredibly versatile for how small it is. With back seats folded down, you can fit two large rolling luggage bags, two cat carriers, and multiple shopping bags with relative ease (and a resourceful person loading the car). The initial value for the money is great if you buy flat out (not a fan of leasing as I got a job a few states away soon after getting the car and started putting a lot of miles on it, screwing me in the end lease-wise). The xD is Toyota reliable. Never had any issues other than the regular maintenance costs. Overall a great buy when new and certainly a bargain when used.

I have been extremely please with the Scion. It is The perfect size and handles well in addition to being very economical. I would highly recommend this car to anyone wanting a reliable smaller car.

We purchased a 2021 CPO Ascent on Sunday July 27th. The next day, the A/C failed. We advised the dealer, and they picked it up Tuesday. Needless to say, we were unhappy. It took a few days to diagnose and get fixed. We picked it up yesterday, and all is good. The dealer obtained a wholesale cost 5-year bumper to bumper 105k miles warranty at a discount we are paying off without interest over 10 months. It is the warranty they use regularly. Started out bad, but ended okay.

3 hundred thousand miles on this car and just doing fine, take care of your car ...and your car will take care of you! it's never had one thing go wrong! ( just an unbelievable car) outside of comon Maintaince, like oil & filter changes, tires, battery, alternator, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs. Even the bulbs are original and all working, it needs a paint job,-maybe.But I bet i get 5 hundred thousand miles out of this one! No wonder taxi cab company's use these kind of cars.(they are cheep to keep).(word to your mother. Ya Hear-!).

I bought my wife a new car, so I started driving her old one for the mpg because Chevy 2500HD gas burns fuel so when I don't need the truck I drive the scion Xd. I'm a big guy work construction and also a body builder. What I don't like is the bigger vehicles bullying the smaller vehicle. But, for that little vaccuum cleaner engine its got it moves. Highway is a bit rough cruising over 65mph. But, great for mpg I can get up to 42mpg on the highway right after an oil change and I clean the air filter its also an automatic and sometimes I can drive like a teenager weaving through traffic at 90mph but it's never left me on the side of the road so atleast not yet been driving it for 4 years even drove it to New York from Alabama non stop and it did great plus it only cost $60 to get there. It's a great car just watch the bigger vehicles.

Great used car. A little cramped for the driver. Wish the seat had adjustment for height. Otherwise I love the reliability and MPG (average combined 36-38 with a stick). Very practical and can haul a decent amount of gear. Bought mine in 2020 with 89K and now have 122k only needing snow tires for the New England winter.

I am a professional technician of 20 years i looked over a few of there cars before purchasing a 2005 Toyota matrix. Super clean car inside and out. Great buying experience. Easy going sales Office. They are happy to share car history. All of the cars seem to be Legacy models, years, and you can't go wrong with their cars.

This small car has a deceptively large interior and has been able to haul many types of loads for me. Have had absolutely no mechanical issues and the body still looks great, paint included. If they still made these I'd buy another without question.

I love this car so much. It has more cup holders then I know what to do with. The back seat folds down so I can fit all my camping equipment. It drives good in the rain but wish it drove better in the snow. It took me a while to adjust to the odd body shape but I love this car

I bought my 2012 xD in 2019 with 72k miles. It's my third Scion after owning a 2006 xA and 2006 xB. This xD has a larger 1.8 liter engine from the Corolla which gives me more power than the my other Scions, but with a slight mileage penalty over those other cars. On a recent road trip to Dallas I averaged 38 mpg, while in town I typically get 28. Installed winter tires and had no problems trekking through our rough winter. The car still feels solid, no squeaks or rattles. Great deals can be had on the xD right now, they are one of the best kept secrets in the small car world!
