Just bought this car from a private seller with 147K on it. I have never felt true love before I owned a Subaru, and now I know what it feels like! I imagine it's a stronger bond than having a child. Only thing that caught me off guard about this specific model was ... NO CUP HOLDERS! Thought it was funny but no big deal, there is room to install in the back seats! Also this thing punches for a wagon, watch the xxxx out everyone green machine is coming through! Also, going to be honest the seats are about as comfy as my old 2018 Altima and way better than the lame xxx Centra!

This vehicle was purchased for me by my dad. He went thru Lyman Motors. They did an engine rebuild on this vehicle. So, even though its 15 years old, and has quite a few miles, it was for a fair price! And, with the engine rebuilt I know it will go for another 100k miles easy! Strong motor for a 2.5L 4 cyl, runs great, smooth ride, comfortable and practical interior. Second Subaru we have owned. It is important to keep up with the gaskets as they tend to leak given time. Easy fix.

Some of the nicest cars I have seen on a preowned car lot. As soon as I walked in I felt welcome and made a part of their family. My Dodge truck got stolen in January of 2022 . I needed a car I only had liability on truck so I got no $$. I bought this 1998 Subaru Outback for 2000$ it had 170,000 miles on it the owner did all the Maintance he was going to give to his daughter so he wanted it in tip top condition , well his daughter took one look and said yuk I don’t want that . So he sold it to me . New tires new brakes all u joints new transmission service . All because it was for his daughter . Lucky me . I have drove this car all over to Montana to LA lots of place . Great in the snow . I will say this is the best car I have ever owned for 2000$ dollars . I have put 30,000 miles on it , just over 200,000 miles on it . Also the AC works great . I love this car . I get more compliments on this Sub then I ever did on my Dodge Ram . Bottom line I do recommend .

*this is the Legacy L Special Edition, not the base trim Lots of positive things to say about this car, with only a few minor negatives. Pros: -EXCELLENT in the snow, rain, etc given the very well performing AWD, which is superior to all other AWD systems. -Easy to drive, easy to service (oil drain plug points forwards, very easy and simple to access) -good interior -- all added features have no issues (eg heated seats, power windows, etc) -good visibility and control -gas mileage is fairly good. Not as good as say, a Honda Civic, but much better than other cars in this class or larger sedans. -Put 30,000 kms since bought (used) with no problems other than regular maintenance Cons: -comfortable overall, but suited for persons of average height or less -automatic drive shifter is annoying to shift into drive -no auxiliary adapter -- built in sound system is not great (unless upgraded) -you have to push the fob button at least twice to unlock the back doors Neutrals: -accelerator pedal (on automatics) increases speed based on how quickly you push the pedal, as opposed to how hard you push it. This is something to get used to, as, if you are trying to access maximum power by pushing the pedal really hard, it won't make the car rev harder. Most cars don't work this way and it gives the illusion that this car is under-powered. However, I assure you, if you push the pedal quickly and allow it to rev fully to 6,000 rpm, it has adequate power.

We drove from out of state to look at a vehicle. I asked a lot of questions before we traveled. The salesman was very honest about the condition of the vehicle and did a good job sharing pictures that I asked for. We were very happy with the price and condition of the vehicle. We have been driving the vehicle now for three weeks and there have been no surprises.

This car has been my go to car for anything even it being a 98 i still love driving it. i just wish there were more modifications a newbie to the car building game could get. i haven't been able to find much or anything for other car mods you can do like body kits and engine mods

I got this car for X-mas one year and it is a great car, it has excellent take off speed and is a smooth ride. The only problem I have is it sometimes gets stuck in Park and I had difficulty switching gears to get it out of park. Has great gas mileage about 30mpg. It is overall an awesome vehicle

I used to own mainly Toyotas, but a friend who loves Subarus talked me into buying it, and I have love love LOVED this car....wish I didn't have to get something else, but now it's 19 yrs old and has 223,000 miles on it...still going strong, but rusted underneath :~((

I admit I was anxious about going by myself to meet with the salesman about buying a new vehicle. I couldn't have asked for a nicer easy going no pressure salesman to assist me than Kris Parker at Dewey Griffin Subaru. He answered all my questions and offered to take me for a test drive when I didn't feel comfortable getting behind the wheel. He stayed in touch and kept me updated while waiting for my vehicle to arrive. On day of delivery he was thorough going over paperwork and again there was never any pressure. He went over everything in the vehicle often explaining it to me more than once and helping to set up some of the new technology for me . He followed up with me the day after on the phone and in person to show me a few more things. He reassured me I could call him anytime and he was always happy to help. Everyone there from the door greeter to the management staff are super friendly and helpful and you really feel like they care and want you to have the best experience. I got the feeling that they loved what they do and took pride in making sure you had an excellent car buying experience and are happy with your new vehicle!

I brought this car November of last year for 450 cash never had a problem had to change some sensors that'sbout it but I'm gonna fIx it up don't plan on buying another car for years I left a 2003 chevy Malibu After the motor went that I will never buy that brand again ever bad experience

I have owned the car for 12 years. I have put a lot of performance parts into it and have a 300hp car that handles like its on rails. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Its also been fairly reliable and its very safe. Great value!

Bought it new. 14 years of faithful service should say it all. Here in upstate NY boonies, it loves snow like my Huskies. Just bought 4 new snow tires, so plan on keeping it. I take care of it and it reciprocates nicely. Since I start work at 6am, it's a toss-up whether Subaru or the xxxxxxhit the Highway first.

We absolutely love this car. It rides so smooth and has power when you need it. The styling is wonderful with some of the nicest stock rims I've ever seen. Inside is comparable to a luxury vehicle, beautiful leather and very nice little details here and there. Never been more excited to get in our car and go somewhere.
