Just bought a 2023 WRX base 6 speed manual. Excellent car and best fun you could have at around $30k. Pros: good power, good handling, good price, fast and fun to drive, stiff suspension, sporty exhaust. Cons: black side moldings and the huge rear black bumper, speakers suck, brakes are weak (installed performance pads, problem solved)

In February 2010, on my way to work, my 2001 Subaru Outback broke down. I had a tow truck haul it and me to #1 Cochran Subaru in Monroeville. Once the mechanic checked it over, I was told that it would cost a lot of money to have it repaired. I had a choice to make. I loved my "Crocodile Dundee" Subaru Outback and didnt want to let it go!!! After talking with my sister-in-law, a friend, and the Service Technicians, I made the decision to buy a new car. The Service Technicians were so nice. I couldn't stop crying, so they bought me lunch and checked in on me throughout the day to make sure that I was doing okay. That's how I came to own a 2010 Subaru Forester. Two Saturdays ago my check engine light, cruise control light, and another light came on. I raced to #1 Cochran Subaru and the Service Technician, Cheyne Brooks, checked it out and said it was okay until he could get me in and have a loaner car ready for me. Yesterday, Monday, October 25, 2022, was the day for me to take my car in to get it checked out. Before I left in my loaner car, a 2022 Forester, I went in to talk to a sales person that I had met months ago, Jamie Bergamasco. I met Jamie when I had stopped in to see if I could get a look at the new Outback Wilderness. I did get to see one and the price tag!!! Jamie remembered me and my name from that day many months ago. I had decided to be proactive regarding my car, rather than reactive. We sat down and talked for awhile. I explained what I needed and why. He listened to me and took a lot of notes. About an hour later, Cheyne called to tell me what was wrong with my car. I listened to him, but I didn't hear what he was saying. What I heard was that it was going to cost me $820.00 then and then a couple of months later I would have to pay around $920.00 for the 150,000 mile maintenance service. After many conversations with my sister-in-law, talking through my options, I decided that the best course of action was to buy a new car. I went back to talk with Jamie regarding my decision. He took the rest of the day helping me to find the right used car for my needs. Jamie made a very stressful process for me less stressful, for which I will always be grateful. I ended up buying a 2018 Quartz Blue Pearl Subaru Forester. I want to thank Cheyne Brooks, a master Service Technician, for all of his assistance on Monday and for all the previous years (and all the coming years). Cheyne, you are the best!!! One of the best fun cars to drive daily and enjoy on the track if desired. After testing many manual transmission cars on the market in this segment including the Elantra N, Acura Integra, Jetta GLI, Honda Type R and others I decided to go with the new WRX and I am very happy with the purchase. This is my first WRX after driving an Audi S4, BMW 335XI, Mustang ECO Boost and other sports cars in the past and I found the WRX to be just as fun to drive on daily bases and driving the family around. The new body looks nice ( much better than the previous generation in my opinion) and aggressive even though some have complained about the cladding but in person it looks good. I personally liked the way they make the car sportier and not just any boring sedan. Mine came with the upgraded STI exhaust which is a nice performance feature and love the sound of it. I have the limited addition that comes with many features. The interior looks very sporty and now I really enjoy the nice size screen after I got used to all the operations. The WRX AWD system is one of the best, allowing the car to handle the curves and turns in a superior way. My weekend car is a BMW M4 but I am enjoying the WRX just as much. It's for sure a long time enjoyment with a great value. If you are in the market for a fun, reliable sports sedan don't hesitate as you will be happy with the WRX.

I've a new 2022 WRX for about 500 miles so far. The car is fantastic. Its a car you WANT to drive. I've a new appreciation for Subaru (this is my first Subaru), as the design is straightforward, simple and practical. This is a decent, performance four door sedan. The performance is quite nice. Torque is handed out quickly at relatively low RPMs, which is nice in a turbocharged car. I bought this car with a manual transmission, and the shifter is good, a nice toogle going from gear to gear. Especially appreciated is a nice, small feature; when stopped on a hill, the car engages the brakes for a fraction of time when you shift into first from a dead stop, preventing rollback and making the shift even easier. This car is FUN to drive. It is wonderful to have a car that when you walk by, you think "I'd like to drive my car now"...even if you have no particular errand to run or place to go. If you want a fun ride, you really need to test drive a WRX. It handles VERY well, and takes turns/darts through traffic with ease. The ride is firm, which figures into its sports car heritage, and low profile tires. Which is fine with me, I prefer it that way. It is a sports car ride. For a sports car, it is very practical, with a very reasonable amount of room in the back seat passenger area. The large 11" screen to control most car functions is prominent, to some extend customizable, and very straightforward. My only complaint is there seems to be a half second lag when using some touchscreen controls. The integration with Android Auto was quite nice, as well as to bluetooth. I LIKE the plastic around the wheel wells...it protects against road debris. If you plan to keep the car for the long haul, I count it as a plus. I actually like the exterior styling, especially on a white car, as its a nice black/white trim contrast. The trunk is a good size for a car of this size. I did get the trunk protection package, which includes plastic panels to protect the back of the rear seat...worth getting. I deliberately bought this car as a long term purchase, one step above the base model, the "Limited" version. I wanted a car without TOO many cameras, sensors, and electronics (the higher trim levels with the CVT transmission have more), to have a less complex car. This car is also an excellent value in the low to mid 30's. I can't really speak to long term reliability YET, as the car only has 500 miles on it at present. However, I can see the engine layout (boxer engine) is straightforward, and seems easy to work on. Also a plus, there is a ton of internet resources on Subaru boxer engines in general. For the time I've owned it, its been working perfectly, I've not had to go back to the dealer for any issues at all.

About 1300 miles into a new 2023 WRX Premium. Car is a blast to drive and mine also has the Harmon Kardon sound system upgrade (very nice audio). Not as creature comfortable as my past BMWs but definitely comfortable. Premium only came with cloth seats so added seat covers. MT is the only way to go! An honest fun to drive car at a reasonable price.

Great dealership. Felt no typical pressure but only, how can we help. Were greedted professionally and with courtesy. They did everything to make the deal work. We worked with Braden - he was very nice and let my wife know she could leave for a few with the kids to grab lunch while they got the deal done. I love everything about this car, my only issue so far is my butt hurts with these sports seats after a solid hour of driving. Not the most padded seat mixed with the WRX stiff suspension lets you really feel the texture of the road. Everything else is 10/10.

Bought my vehicle from Golden, CO Carmax and didn't have any support for mechanical issues. Still purchased the vehicle because it is what I wanted. Ashley from sales in Golden was the worst! I ended up closing the deal with Cora who was amazing and clearly the exception to the rule in Golden. When I told Ashley there were issues with the brakes she was rude and didn't take me seriously. I ended up working with the Federal Heights dealership on repairs. Debbie in the service department took this on and was soooo amazing! She took care of everything and I am so greatful! The technican at this location was amazing as well (I forget his name unfortunately)! It is really a shame that I had to go to another location to get service, but I am so glad that I did. Outstanding job Federal Heights location!
