My husband initially gave a lot of pushback when I told him this was "the car for me". His car broke down just before a planned long-distance trip, so he had to take his turn behind the wheel of my Subaru. Every wife loves to hear " You were right"! It’s so rare these days that I have an exceptional customer service experience, so I wanted to share this one with anyone considering a Subaru (or anyone around Asheville looking for a car.) I was in the automotive business for years, and I rarely met a dealer who runs his business like this guy. From the first contact (via email) with Skye Autohaus in Weaverville, the service was top-notch. I visited the dealership several times to check out different cars, and each time I showed up, the folks were friendly and helpful. The cars were ready to go, even started and heated, ready for my test drive, on a particularly cold day. It didn’t matter that Travis had the “deal” due to a referral (meaning, he was my salesperson). I was helped by Ed, Kristen, and Rob, the owner. Kristen delivered the car I chose, even though she won’t see the commission from it. I highly recommend her and Ed, whom I worked with the most. Dennis, who details the cars, was around and provided great information, as well. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and personable; that’s important to me. The car I settled on is a real beauty. One of the things that makes Skye Autohaus exceptional is that they buy great cars to begin with, and go over each with a fine toothed comb, taking care of everything they possibly can before they sell it. My 2013 Outback Premium has a new transmission, new tires and new brakes. It was clean as a whistle on delivery, and the experience from start to finish couldn’t have been better. With the money I saved on the car, I purchased an extended warranty that will cover it for another 3 years. The Keurig was always ready to go, and they even have half and half in the fridge (none of that fake crap)! No pressure, no haggling. They hand you the keys to any car you’re considering, let you look it over, take it for a drive. They’re available for questions, but they don’t push anything on you. They know they have great cars and that if you don’t buy the car, someone else will. I really can’t say enough good things about the folks at Skye Autohaus. And, they ship their cars ANYWHERE, so you don’t have to live in Weaverville (Asheville) to get a great car at a great price. AND, they're going to consign my Volvo, so I don't have to deal with selling it. I'll pay them to detail it, they'll take care of a couple of small repair items at wholesale, list the car on every website they advertise their cars on, show the car, and complete the deal! from the first day I had it I haven’t had any issues with it as it handles great and gas economy is awesome. I don’t have a negative to write. I drove Lincoln’s for the last 20 or more years and because they stopped making cars and only Crossovers or SVU’s, I searched high and low to find an equivalent car and googled all the options that were a must and the Subaru Legacy Elite came up and my husband and I went to look and drove out with our new car and couldn’t be happier. The ride is comfortable and the car is just great.

They were very courteous, knowledgeable, professional and honest. I would buy from them again if I ever need another vehicle.

Bought 2013 Legacy 2.5 premium in early 2014 with approximately 9k miles. Now has 88k and other than routine maintenance no other issues. It has been and remains one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. That includes a few BMW’s and Mercedes. Great all year round especially in the winter. Will definitely consider another Subaru if this one ever xxxxxx. Hoping not

This car has been nothing short of a pleasure to own. Its so much fun to drive, handles well, pulls hard, and just puts a smile on my face all the time. Its practical with good storage space and good back seat room. The AWD system on the car is great and offers endless grip. The car does have its quirks, it is a little noisy on the highway (wind noise), and the interior quality is just so-so (materials aren't bad, but aren't great either), and there are a couple of creaks and rattles. Even so, this vehicle has been great.

Mike K. was our salesperson at Hunter Subaru and he was extremely knowledgeable. We walked away with a brand new Subaru Outback 2020 and we got a good deal on our trade. Mike kept in touch with us after the sale. We continue to have awesome service by Hunter Subaru. We drove away completely satisfied customers. We highly recommend Hunter Subaru.

This is my second WRX. My first (which I still have) is a 2002 Impreza WRX. I bought this car (2024) for long trips with the family and dog (cane corso). The foreseeable future does not see me daily driving it, tho I am sure it could handle it without any fuss. It has room for storage on trips and to the grocery store. Excellent platform for autocross, rally cross, track days, overlanding and as stated before long trips. This is a car that is hard to beat for its value and versatility.

The 2021 Legacy is improved comfort riding, leg room, the dashboard is digitalized at greater extend. the Charcoal gray color is awesome, looks very elegant. I like the new wheel design and interior changes that add a luxury look that my 2019 did not have.

I am 74 years old and this is the sixth Subaru legacy that I've leased since my husband's death. It provides me a secure ride in bad weather and is a pleasure to drive when the sun shines. I may purchase this one.

Bought brand new off the lot in January 2020 and I've put just under 20K miles into it so far. Here's what I've seen so far: Good: - AWD keeps you on the road in even the most slushy and icy conditions. Driven this car through a few snow storms and never had to worry about losing control. - The driving assist safety features work very well, definitely has saved me from a couple minor incidents. Also the adaptive cruise control has revolutionized long roadtrips and I'll absolutely never be able to go back - Interior looks fresh and clean, seats are very comfortable. I'm always surprised how much trunk space this car has, plus the folding back seat make transporting some bulkier items easy. Bad: - I absolutely despise the entertainment system. The huge touch screen is cool but it is sluggish and unreliable. Often the inputs will lag several seconds or not register at all, which sucks when you're trying to turn on the AC on a hot day or the heat in the winter. The worst part is that sometimes when you start the car up, the user interface software won't start correctly and will crash, disabling all of the vehicle's safety features. Usually this fixes itself with an automatic reboot but that often takes a couple minutes. Once or twice I've had to pull of the road, turn off the car and turn it on again to manually cycle power to the console interface. - There's absolutely no reason to buy the sport mode when the CVT is so sluggish. Paddle shifters seem like they're almost disconnected as the difference between the "gears" is so minimal. - No way to disable the auto start/stop system, have to hit the touchscreen button every time. Overall: - I'd still recommend this car since the good definitely outweighs the bad. It's a car that does a lot of things decently but nothing exceedingly well. If you want a sports sedan, get the WRX. If you want a car that can handle rough driving conditions, get the Outback. If you want something more akin to a luxury sedan, go up a trim level to the Limited XT CVT. If you want a car that does all these things but doesn't lean too hard into any of them, this is your pick.

About 1300 miles into a new 2023 WRX Premium. Car is a blast to drive and mine also has the Harmon Kardon sound system upgrade (very nice audio). Not as creature comfortable as my past BMWs but definitely comfortable. Premium only came with cloth seats so added seat covers. MT is the only way to go! An honest fun to drive car at a reasonable price.
