2020 Mazda CX-5 review
I love it! Bought it new in 2020. Grand Touring Reserve with the turbo in Soul Crystal red metallic. I'm currently at 56k miles with zero issues. I do oil changes every 5k miles. Originally I test drove a CRV, RAV4, Forrester, and CX5. I picked the Mazda bc it looks, feels, and drives like a luxury SUV. 320 |b/ft of torque for a compact really gives it the edge over anything else in the class. Four years later and it still feels as solid as the day I bought it. The handling's amazing, and the ride is great! Some people have called the ride firm but I would say it's super compliant. It settles very quickly over bumps without feeling upset. The Bose system sounds "good" but only has bass and treble adjustments with no mid which would make it even better. The ventilated seats work better than in other cars I tested as well. It's also one of the quietest too letting in very little wind and tire noise.

2024 Kia Telluride review
Have driven just over 20,000 miles so far. No issues. Drive between Clearwater and Gainesville regularly plus a couple other family trips and daily around town. Averages about 27 mpg at 75, quiet and pleasant ride. Trips were nice with good visibility front and back and plenty of room for stuff. Highly recommend.

2017 Jeep Cherokee review
I have the Trailhawk trim, the serious off-road version. Finally, a car that I can confidently drive in and out of rough construction sites, and not be afraid that I'll break it or get it stuck. It is possessed by a powerful spirit of wanderlust, and frequently demands that I take it on drives just to see places it hasn't yet been, preferably places that normal cars cannot go. If Don Quixote de La Mancha lived in our time, he would surely drive a vehicle like this one; a vehicle truly fit for a modern Knight Errant. I didn't know until a few days after I bought it, and I don't think the dealership knew either, but this one has about a 2" aftermarket lift, and slightly larger tires than stock.

2020 Jeep Compass review
We own two 2018 Compass'. We have bought 3. We bought a 2007 brand new. It was a great car for 10 years and it got totaled. My wife currently drives a 2018 Compass and I just bought a second 2018 Compass yesterday. She drove a 2017 Ford Escape for while and didn't like it so we went back to the Compass. These are not without there issues. My wife's transmission started to get a hard shift last summer at around 55k miles. We had the trans fluid changed and currently at 65k no issues, no hard shifts. The dealership says that it is a "life time fluid." I don't agree. Find a good mechanic and have the trans fluid replaced every 30k miles and you should be fine. It cost much less than the one thousand dollars the dealership wanted to change it. I've also heard that the 2.4 liter Tiger Shark engines eat oil. We've own my wife's car for 3 years now and have not noticed any oil consumption. It's our travel car, and my wife travels a little for work so it puts on the miles. Smooth ride easy to drive for long trips, a little wind noise but it's not bad. The interior is nice. It actually has just a little more cargo space than the Cherokee. Infotainment is okay just a few quirks that I don't like but nothing major. The sound system is in my opinion one of the best. They changed the body style in 2018 and I think it's a really good looking car on the outside. The one I just bought is white with a black roof and blacked out badges and rims. Overall it's a great car and they are affordable. Do you research and make sure it's got a good service history. Best of luck!

2023 Jeep Wrangler review
First jeep was a 2 door 1988 , have owned 9 since , every generation has gotten better , after having a lifted Willys and a Mojave gladiator I decided to go for more comfort but still able to do jeep things , 23 sport S 2 door hardtop 6cly , comfortable, quiet and cool . Love the alpine sound system and the smooth quiet comfortable ride ( obviously still a jeep ) I’ve gotten 28mph on a 400 mile road trip and seem to average 25mph which it outstanding imop

2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe review
Bought my 2024 used with 13k miles on it. Maybe I'm old school due to prior life with a 97 TJ and and 01 XJ but this car is fantastic to drive and very luxurious. Perhaps not as tech heavy as other SUVs, but it does everything I could hope for, and has been fun for road driving and light off roading.

2023 Volvo XC60 review
This is 100% one of the best cars I’ve owned. 2022 Acura MDX review
I really like my 2022 Acura MDX, it’s a luxury SUV. It’s pretty and it’s just for me. The problem, I have only had it for 22 months and the starter went. It cost us $950.00 to replace the starter, that didn’t include the labor. Thank God my husband has quite a bit of knowledge on installing starters. Problem number 2, reverse light needs to be replaced, that’s the hold panel and the cost is a whopping $500.00 and something dollars. The 60,000! mile maintenance has to be done in the next few months. The dealer charges $1,325,00, Honda charges $835.00 but it has to be done. But again, I love my car and I plan on having it for years to come.

Unbelievable car!!! 2023 Tesla Y (Long Range 19") and my wife fully agrees. Where do I begin? Value! Crazy good, purchased Sept 2023, will end up costing about 44k after 7500 tax credit, now factor in another 10k (at least) saved over gas over the next 5 plus years and my cost will drop to about 34k?? Seriously, at 9 cents a kilowatt hour, (FL) to charge this thing in my garage overnight (charge rate is 30 miles in just an hour) only costs about $7.50 worth of electricity for about 315 miles range. What?? We've had this for 7 months and about 18k miles and have spent only about a buck or two on windshield washer fluid so that's it on maintenance costs. What a PLEASURE not having to deal with dealerships and oil changes that take a half a day of hassle. Teslas service (and app) is excellent. I've read the motors (dual) can go 1 million miles and the battery 300-500 k miles. I plan on doing 200k miles on this car. Range anxiety? None for me, basically I can drive about 3 complete hours of driving per day on a charge. Waking up every day with 3 hours worth of driving and skipping gas stations with 35 dollar fill-ups (we have a Prius with 300k miles) is wonderful. Teslas supercharger network is everywhere. I've never seen a station that did not work or a line that kept me waiting more than 5 minutes. I never realized, until I owned a Tesla, that not having to go to the gas station about once a week (or about 27 times for the past 7 months) erases any inconvenience of having to supercharge because unless you do frequent road trips (more than about 3 hours round trip) you will go months at a time not having to supercharge. (supercharging averages 2.5-3 times the cost for me to charge at home) Your house is technically your gas station! (supercharging averages 2.5-3 times the cost of me charging at home) Performance? basically, this car has about the speed of a 911 and its low center of gravity and handling make it really really fun to drive. Highest safety rating all around and the very good stereo has about 14 speakers (and a subwoofer) that round out some amazing perks usually reserved for much more expensive cars... The software, self driving and navigation is very advanced and not an upcharge if you dont do the full self driving, gorgeous graphics and an intelligent user interface that can be learned as you go along make this car a phenomenal choice. Tesla is WAY ahead on software and basically built this car around their software platform while others are building EVS and struggling with their software and charging systems. Tesla outsells their competition by a very wide margin, for good reasons. The wife and I were about to get either a Honda CRV or a Toyota Rav 4 and by some wonderful luck walked past the Tesla store at the mall, 10 minutes later we test drove the y and 3 and literally, before we drove a mile we knew this test drive experience made it clear, we would try this Tesla. 101% happy we did. If you are considering the Tesla, make sure you drive one before making your decision. One last thing, buying direct from Tesla basically means you are getting maybe about 20% more car for a lower price because the middleman dealerships are not cost factored in, and don't believe the negative media coverage. Tesla is bypassing an entire industry and alot of big companies are probably not happy about it. If you really want to know what Tesla ownership is like, ask Tesla owners. My neighbor has a Model 3 with 45k miles, I asked her the other day what she has paid for Maintenace so far and she said "nothing" and LOVES her Tesla. I hear the same from pretty much every Tesla owner I ask. What a car!

2020 Lexus RX 350 review
The interior is spacious with all the amenities found in other mid-size luxury SUVs. When the windows are all up, it is very quiet. The engine and transmission are very smooth, quiet and powerful. The exterior design is elegant. The braking system is responsive and does not require too much force to adjust the braking distance. Overall, this is an excellent mid-size SUV.

2024 Mazda CX-5 review
This is my first CX-5. I love it. Previously I drove a mazda tribute which was a 6 cylinder. I was reluctant to purchase a smaller vehicle with a smaller engine, but I’ve been pleased. My only negative comment is regarding the leg room in the back seat. It’s not great but workable for most average size adults.

2019 Chevrolet Equinox review
The 2019 Chevy Equinox Premier 2.0 AWD is great overall. The 2.0 liter model is very reliable on the freeway and works wonderfully for family trips with children as the back seat is quite comfortable. The 1.5 liter model struggles to get up to freeway speeds in our prior test drive, but it doesn't feel like that at all with the 2.0 liter. The Bose Premium Audio does not have a subwoofer, but the speakers have a deep low range and provide the feeling of a full audio experience. It's quite entertaining when you are jamming out at high volume and your pantleg is rattling from the door speaker. Issue 1. The front seats are rather short leaving 4-5 finger widths from the end of the seat to the back of the legs which results in your legs feeling like they are dangling off the seat, whereas you want something closer to 2-3 finger widths. I am average height of 5'9", so this would be more uncomfortable for taller people. The passenger seat specifically presses into your right leg causing it to start to go numb after 30 minutes, so long road trips in the front passenger seat are quite uncomfortable. Issue 2. I have the 2.0 Premier AWD with every bell and whistle available, and it still "feels" like I am surrounded by plastic. I understand that Chevy is not a luxury brand, but the max comfort trim leaves much to be desired. Issue 3. The Adaptive Cruise feature will randomly disable itself in clear weather. It rarely happens, but it seems to happen for no obvious reason. Disabling Cruise Control and re-enabling it resolves the matter, so it is a minor annoyance more than anything. Something I found amusing - The owner's manual says to use 5w30 for all weather conditions above -20f, then has a caveat to use 0w30 in -20f conditions, and then on the next page has yet another caveat to use 0w40 in -20f conditions.

Good car the ride is great not perfect had a few things go bad but was covered under dealer warranty its a 2016 lr4 hse..love this suv. Yes it eats lots of gas and tires. The air suspension is great...it's very fast..I love the heavy feel when u driving it..it's like a tank... just the dealership mechanics not that good and the service guy trying to sell u any service if u let them very pushy...u can get work done at other rover places. And oil changes at jiffy lube if they have the tools...just avoid the dealership unless u have to go and have any warranty that's best best way to go if not it will cost u 1 to 2 thousand every time t breaks down...

2023 Mazda CX-50 review
Have the 2025 CX-50 in white premium addition. Often think whether I should have bought the turbo as I wish I had some more power, but I didn’t want to give our insurance a reason to hike rates. It gets the job done and in style. Interior is nicely finished but I’ve experienced many little rattles from instrument cluster, A pillar, mounted Bose speakers, etc. lots of felt tape was needed to mitigate. Technology is the major con here. Constantly have to reconnect Bluetooth so I just plug it in now all the time. Wireless phone charger never works - it overheats seemingly after two minutes and stops working. At times the tailgate buttons seem to get confused and don’t know what you’re asking it to do. And the way the doors all lock / unlock together can be frustrating and I’ve learned that it depends on how many times you hit the disarm / unlock button on the key fob. Finally, memory seats never worked since buying it new, and I’m too lazy to bring it in all day for that. I like the car but I’m not sure I’ll get into another one after my time is up with it.

2023 Toyota bZ4X review
What I do not like Remote start: There is no option just to start the HVAC, you have to start the car. The car needs to be locked. Why not combine 2 functions - lock first, then start HVAC. After getting into the car and starting, a number of features do not work and need manual intervention: Auto setting for heated seats and steering wheel Phone no longer connects. Manual intervention needed to connect CarPlay (several taps) I have not been able to get scheduled HVAC going from the app. Multi-Information display is almost obstructed by steering wheel. And I am 6’2”. Steering-wheel buttons are crowded. Setting, canceling, resuming buttons are close together and I need to look at the wheel to find the right button. Audio volume is much easier with a knob… I had to restrict the upper range of the lift gate opening so it would not hit the garage door. Now I hit my head on the lift gate edge if I am not careful. My car came with only 1 key fob. Several months later still no 2nd fob. Heat takes a long time to come on. Lack of recording cameras, like Tesla. Knob to put in Drive or Reverse. Easy to select the wrong direction. Pushbuttons are easier. Only randomly is CarPlay activated when starting car. I only want Carplay. What I like Auto parking brake. Seats are comfortable. Easy to drive the car smoothly. Comfortable. Auto heated seats and steering wheel. Qi wireless charger Wireless CarPlay (will not buy a car without it) Rubber car mats. Overall comments: I like the car, but the interfaces in the Hyundai Kona Electric I had previously were better.

2023 Toyota 4Runner review
We chose the 2023 4Runner Limited because of it's reliable 1GR V6 engine and the simple, tried and true, 5 speed transmission. And NO turbo! The interior is detailed and attractive with clearly reachable buttons and knobs for climate, radio, and touchscreen. The ride is much better than described in many reviews. We find that it is similar to our former GMC Yukon. The one downside is it's fuel mileage. In real world daily driving we're getting 18-19 mpg around town and 19-21 on the highway. Our Highlander gets 21-22 mpg in town and 24mpg on the highway. This is our 4th 4Runner so we know what to expect. Our 2004 is still on the road with 278,000 miles; going strong.

2019 Toyota 4Runner review
The perfect ride for someone wanting smooth handling and luxury finishes! Loved this ride and was sad to part with it but FINALLY was able to get my dream, Land Cruiser. This 4 Runner was perfect for long drives to the coast, a trip over the pass of daily commuting.

2025 Lexus GX 550 review
Purchased 2025 Lexus GX 550 Premium Plus. Amazing feeling when you drive it, and looks vey cool inside and out. I drive it every day to work, weekends in town and for longer trips like family road trips including mountains and rural areas. I wish the gas tank was bigger, I think it’s is few gallons smaller than in our 2020 Lexus GX 460. We didn’t trade 2020 Lexus GX 460 to get 2025 Lexus GX 550. Will keep both for many years to come. Great job Lexus!

2025 Lexus GX 550 review
Nicely designed, very comfortable, Luxury plus model has fantastic features. Some plastic interiors could be improved. Solid in nature, great visibility from inside, panoramic roof is very nice. The fact that Lexus has really designed it to fit inside a standard US garage is great!. Love the coolbox. Also the rear glass door opening is a big hit. '3rd row going under ground' without sacrificing space for spare tire is excellent. More inside storage space world be a plus
