I bought a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara Luxury in December of that year. Since, I've driven it almost every day with no problems at all. Its a shame that Suzuki pulled out of the US market because they really did offer a quality low-cost alternative to the other Japanese car makers. If I was in the market for a used car for a college student or child, I would definitely consider a Suzuki Grand Vitara. Great car for the money and good car overall.

I had a 2012, and unfortunately it rusted out on the bottom. Otherwise, I miss this car so much. It was the best little car. The perfect size. I had the basics. No Sun Roof. Don't need one. I loved the way it handled and it was spacious while staying compact. I am fine with its design and simplicity. It would be amazing if this exact car with AWD (so important) was made available to we consumers in the US as a base model. Also, I might want to rust proof my car and please Suzuki, take care of that issue. I believe rusting out was exclusive to the 2012 model.

after being burnt by Audi i wasnt looking for another expensive classy luxury car id drive that q5 500 miles and it would start breaking down finally i got sick of being stranded and gave it away at 100k miles it needs about 7000 in work easily ! a suzuki was the last car on my mind but after driving it i was hooked the suzuki i bought was in an accident with a deer so the guy wanted it gone his insurance totaled it because the deer damaged the hood the front bumper and a headlight assembled all of which are easily replaced by anyone with mechanical aptitude! the insurance company loss my gain this suzuki has already been a million times better than my audi q5 not stylish or classy but runs circles around my audi in dependability and fuel milage ! a car isnt much good if its always breaking down suzuki is no longer in america because they ran forever and dont break down ! my only regret is that i didn't purchase 3 of them for the price of one audi and im sure there are many like myself whom wish they had shown more support for suzuki !

This is the best car I have ever owned. Very reliable and easy to repair. Mechanics will alsways take advantage because there are no many Suzuki around. But, you can do a decent job by yourself if you order spare parts. Is Suzuki back in Canada? They make reliable and less expensive cars. Thanks Suzuki, I ❤️ your cars!

this car is perfect for me except for two small problems. The steering wheel is not adjustable. so that when I'm driving I cannot see the clock on the dashboard. so I always have to shift around to be able to see what time it is. secondly, if you want to use the roof rack you have to unscrew the radio antenna. I'm afraid I'm going to lose it! other than that it's a great little four-wheel drive. I can carry all my stuff from home Depot inside it on top of it. it looks cute and it's great on gas.

4 wheel drive up to 30 mph, awd or 2wd at the flip of a button. Amazing ground clearance. Seats very comfortable. Sound system outrageous. Crossover Tech version is great pleasure to drive and enjoy on ;ong or short trips. 6 spd standard, leather steering wheel cover, heated seats and more. Now have 75K miles. Alloy wheels. And more. Find one and buy it. Suzuki SX4 Crossover Tech. After 2013 no longer sold in continental US. A real shame. Following year they changed the body shape. Too Bad.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a meme it being so old, having a grueling time to 60 mph, and having gold rims. It’s about the character though, the amount of “car” you get out of it is unbeatable, it’s such a slow car but flooring it and hearing the tiny v6 roar like a v8 never gets old. This truly is a luxury car it’s many features and quirks make it such a love able car, your happy to see it, it’s happy to see you.

Unbelievable service. You will never find a better dealer or service center. On my 80th trip around the sun and have many years of experience with Ford, Honda and now Mazda. No comparison to the others and I am about as picky as you can find. Highly recommend for both sales and service.

Seeing one of these auto's is as elusive as seeing a Quattro being towed out of snow. All 4 model years were released ( approximately only 20 thousand from those years are here in the states) before I saw one. From a distance it appears to look like a VW Golf GTI in the grille area with contour lines and a front lower fascia of an Audi. From the side it had a side skirt of a VW Scirocco. I thought at first it was a new Volkswagen model. Then as it passed I saw the beautiful sculptured rear end and Suzuki badging? What had happened was VW was in talks with Suzuki early in 2009 and latter purchased stake in Suzuki that same year. Inside and out you can see the touches of VW, Audi and Suzuki. Fine quality of parts, fit and finish along with craftsmanship. They however were unfortunate in their release (recession of economy at the time) and lack of advertising. This is really a Nissan Frontier at a chaeper price and with better emmenities and exterior styling. Gas mileage is that of a truck. Has get pickup and rides well for having the off road package(AMZ). Most expert reviews did not do it justice. Don't base your decision on them, drive it for your self then decide. Great dollar value.

I've put about 4K miles on my car so far. I have a mechanic family member who loves this brand so I decided to give it a try. The AWD and affordable price were some appealing hooks for me as well. Wanted an Audi but didn't want the Audi price tag and maintenance costs --been there done that! To be honest though, it was when I sat inside it's ultra comfortable interior and hear the roar of the motor that I made my final decision to purchase this vehicle! Later I learned it had really good crash ratings due Suzuki adding extra metal into the vehicle and extra air bags. It also has really good brakes and handling according to Suzuki tests (I can't disagree so far). When it came out, I'm sure it was one of the absolute best vehicles out dollar for dollar, especially with AWD.

This is a very spacious car, it and fits a lot more than expected. Rides smooth in city or highway, and has great gas mileage.

I love my new truck. It's not broke in so I'm only getting 17-20 MPG but I hope it will improve in 3,000 miles. I couldn't be happier with this vehicle, it's great and looks much better than the Frontier and it has 4 wheel disk brakes and a 5 speed auto transmission while the Nissan is only 2 wheel disks and 4 speed auto.

It's great on getting up and out , very fast , faster then a cop car, I know cause my wife out ran a cop car in it..FACTS..anyways it rides very good and it do great in a cute at a high.rate of speed I I promise you that..just be able to handle it..I think they should make more of them..

Roomy, Dependable, Comfortable, Fun to Drive , Cheap to Buy and Run Interior is great, Exterior is Great, Mpg is disappointing however but considering the value additions you tend to forget that

I drove the car 10 years. The first 4 years, I was getting brakes about every 1.5 years. The car only drives smoothly with the factory tires which are expensive. The only exception was one year I just did not have enough money to buy the high-end tires so I went to Sears and got some Toyo tires, when the tires were inflated properly they worked great but now Toyo does not make those tires for this car anymore. One other down side is finding parts. If you have to take it in for work and a part is needed you will have to wait several days in most cases.

Picked up a 2012 Equator 4x4 crew cab sport long bed in Jan of '13. Needed a truck and it was a good deal. I knew I'd be OK with it, but it has been so far beyond OK. Beating the EPA estimates by a wide margin, even with a load and in the hills. Comfortable and the ride and drive is much better than I ever expected. Excellent build quality. I LOVE this truck. More capable than many bigger trucks. Mechanically, it's a Nissan, so no worries on parts. Too bad Suzuki couldn't market it better. The only thing I goofed on is that the dealer had two when I first contacted them. Should have bought both.

My '99 Chevy Tracker (Suzuki Vitara with a Chevy nameplate) was just totalled in a multi-car wreck in Denver. My replacement car will ONLY be a Vitara or Tracker! This little SUV is SO fun to drive. Yes, it rides rougher than a car, and that is because it is built on a truck frame unlike other SUVs which are just cars with a different body. In West Virginia where the sport of "muddin'" is popular, nothing, absolutley nothing beats Trackers or Vitara's off road. And in snow - well, put a set of studded snow tires on this sweetie and it will take you anywhere!!!

I bought my 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara premium used with 109k miles. Did some repairs and maintenance such as replacing all fluids, new starter (didn't really need it), Tuneup, Severe snow storm rated ALL TERRAIN/ALL SEASON tires and even though I only drive 4,500 miles a year...I get an oil/lube with synthetic oil every 3 months religiously. Also added steel Red colored lug nuts that match my maroon paint job perfectly that adds a $20 being that really pops. Car drives like a brand new luxury car. Have been driving it 3 years now and lice it. No problems at all. All features work great. Love steering wheel cruise and steering controls. Stereo has fantastic sound. Feel perfectly safe and although it will happen eventually of course. I have no worries on long trips, that I will not have to concern myself with breakdowns. Great off road. I am 6'5" and there is plenty of legroom and space. Great interior layout. Luxurious interior. And (what my mother would say) the dashboard lights at night are real pretty 😍.
