I bought a 2005 xl7 4x4 it’s 20 years old and it’s now got 157.900 miles on it still runs like brand new I have been very picky about maintenance on it always doing best oil best gas services always on time best 4x4 I ever owned and I have owned more than three able to to sleep three big dogs and my self at 5’ 11 in back and fully be stretched out when camping or making long trips I love my Suzuki and It will always be with me no matter what I plan to own it knock on wood for many many more miles and years best suv ever

It's a good car but definitely the catalitic converter is a huge problem...if the engine light is on you need to find an other engine computer to replace it which is very difficult to find and after that the car consumes a lot of fuel which is crazy...finally it is a car level Medium...

This was a really great car buying experience. I live several hundred miles away from the dealership so most of the communication and pricing information was done online. I had to fly into the city the dealer is located which made me a little nervous knowing they could change some terms of the deal or present unexpected charges. To my relief, everything was exactly as promised online, the car was perfect, all personnel were amazing and the facility was clean and comfortable. I did a Long term test on the Suzuki XL7 it did good not bad for a SUV it .3.6 v6 did good we put 151 532 miles on it andthe Suzuki XL7 did really good in the winter and it did good the summer andi say it did better then the Chevrolet Equinox that did Long term test drive

Yeah, it’s a bit of a meme it being so old, having a grueling time to 60 mph, and having gold rims. It’s about the character though, the amount of “car” you get out of it is unbeatable, it’s such a slow car but flooring it and hearing the tiny v6 roar like a v8 never gets old. This truly is a luxury car it’s many features and quirks make it such a love able car, your happy to see it, it’s happy to see you.

based on Equinox and a few other GM products, so easy to find parts, not necessarily cheap, but generally cheap. Very good insulation, triple seal windows, makes this SUV quiet like higher end. Gas is okay for 3.6L, average 22, isn't bad at all. 5-speed shifts very well and power is adequate, 0-60 in sub 6 seconds. Timing Chain, means no replacement needed but may require service as it ages. Suzuki didn't market this well because they don't have money like other companies, this sure is a better car than it's GM siblings, larger, more power, etc.

Tar was accidentally sprayed all the way around my white car! I was beside myself. I took it to Tanque Verde Motors for help. I spoke with Mason, the Sales Director. I purchased my 2011 Grand Vitara 2.5 years ago. with the exception of it smelling like weed when I bought it from a college student and had to do a thorough cleansing of the interior, it has been a great car. The mileage is around 30 mpg with the 2.4 litre 4 banger but it has surprising power. I wish the tranny had another gear between first and second though. I have pulled a 5'x12' utility trailer with it and am impressed. There is room in the back with the rear seats folded forward to transport cargo. It runs smooth and comfortably.

My '99 Chevy Tracker (Suzuki Vitara with a Chevy nameplate) was just totalled in a multi-car wreck in Denver. My replacement car will ONLY be a Vitara or Tracker! This little SUV is SO fun to drive. Yes, it rides rougher than a car, and that is because it is built on a truck frame unlike other SUVs which are just cars with a different body. In West Virginia where the sport of "muddin'" is popular, nothing, absolutley nothing beats Trackers or Vitara's off road. And in snow - well, put a set of studded snow tires on this sweetie and it will take you anywhere!!!

I got this vehicle with 20,000 miles on it, now I got 300,000 miles still going strong. Always change that oil every 5,000 miles. And replace air filter

This Suzuku is great for a single person, couple or very small family. The car runs extremely well with regular maintenance and gets great gas mileage. It's easy to maneuver and affordable to take care of. The interior is great for an individual or a couple. Otherwise, adding multiple adults in the back or a carseat makes the car a tight squeeze for anyone.
