I bought the vehicle for the reliability ratings, stealth luxury- a Lexus without the ugly front end, elimination of the 3rd row, and the historical resale/trade in value. So far, I am very impressed with the technology and safety features- already used the radar lane detection and auto braking that avoided a rear end collision. I feel very secure, and the exterior looks are impressive (black on black with bronze BBS wheels). I have owned and other German SUV's and the trade in or resale values have been horrible. Let's see how this Land Cruiser works out. The gas mileage is tough to get used to in the beginning, yet the comfort and capability around my farm is incredible. You get the best of both worlds, stealth luxury and a work horse with brawn.

I recently bought a Toyota 4Runner from 4x4 Rides and traded in my old car to them. Overall it was a smooth easy transaction. They held the truck for me while it was getting the state inspection, and worked with me on the price of the parts and labor needed to pass the inspection. They were honest, pleasant to work with, were knowledgeable and able to answer my questions, and were quick to respond on the phone and in email. They even recommended a financing company, Lightstream, which I easily signed up with to purchase the truck. Fabulous. If I didn't have such a love for the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, I'd still be driving this. Amazing vehicle, inside and out. Incredibly reliable, drove like a luxury car yet capable of digging through deep snow like it wasn't even there. Fuel mileage will never be an asset but it's a Land Cruiser, one does't need to say anymore.

Reading some of the reviews here on Cars.com, and I get the impression folks bought the wrong car. This Land Cruiser is perfect. Toyota stripped out luxury, got away from a 90k luxo-barge, and built and off-road SUV. "the ride can be rough/stiff at times"; it's body on frame, for good reason! The suspension articulation, ramp angle, etc... beat the pants of a unibody SUV. "The transmission is jerky..." for a few thousand miles; once it learns your driving style, it smooths out (my '23 Alfa Romeo with the ZF 8-speed did the same thing). Hybrid systems are complex, and once the vehicle learns where you throttle off/on, brake, how firmly you accelerate, it behaves much better. "The hybrid offer rubbish fuel mileage"; first - blame the Federal Govt and CAFE for everyone switching to hybrids. second - if you actually take it off-road, you'll discover the brilliance of having electric motor torque at low speed while crawling... much better low-speed control than even my old LC100 with a V-8. "the interior plastics are cheap"; Toyota made a decision to use long-wearing, durable materials, and keep the cost down, so we could get an excellent off-roader for 55k (a little more than the average selling price of a car in America), instead of 90k (previous gen LC200 luxo-barge). Bottom line, if you want the luxo-barge, get the GX... the V-6 won't work as hard, has a larger tank, it has leather, and a trick suspension that smooths out body-on-frame ride characteristics... if you want a rugged off-roader, without stuff to break, and don't plan on being precious about it... the current gen Land Cruiser is a bargain, checks all the right boxes, and has reliability the Wrangler and Bronco can only dream about.

I purchased this car at the end of June 2025 and currently have only 5,000 miles on it. So far I love the Land Cruiser. The interior is very nice, but not especially plush. It is comfortable. The LC handles well, but I haven't taken it off-road, nor have I had to deal with difficult weather conditions. The drawbacks that I see are that it requires premium gas, does not get especially good gas mileage, and the gas tank is small for the size of the vehicle. I have no regrets in buying this vehicle.

Upgrading from a 5th gen 4runner and I couldn't have a better SUV. Plenty of hybrid power, very smooth transmission, great acceleration and super comfort features and excellent interiors. Premium package is well worth it, especially 360 camera, safety features, and ventilated leather seats. 5000 miles in two months and no regret at all. Toyota nailed it. If you are looking into an upgrade from a 4Runner and any similar midsize SUV, do not hesitate!

Purchased my Land Cruiser with 100,000 miles on it. I called the previous owner to ask him some questions and he told me if I ever wanted to sell it, let him know because he wished he hadn't traded it in. What a beauty. Dark maroon burgundy. Best paint job I had ever had on a truck/car. I loved the whole experience. I sold it because I moved where I needed a little bit more economical vehicle. It was a little thirsty, but then it was a very heavy truck. Capable of going half a million miles with that engine. Many have I understand.

I read the cars.com review. Faulted for not having air suspension. It doesn't need it. The ride is amazing. Has Toyota quality so factor our repairs that you will be spending in time and money on the others. Especially the Mercedes and Range Rover. Resale is far better. Another savings. Front seat needs adjustable seat cushions for longer legs.

Great bunch of kids - well, to me they are young. However - GA lost my title, then Nashville lost it so I still don't have a permanent car tag. That's been a harassment but I don't think it's on Car Max. I think some state workers are using COVID as an excuse to slack off.
