It’s a tank.
It’s a tank. So far V6 has been solid no issues with oil burn. Have been doing regular oil changes. Just recently replaced both front control arms due to worn out bushings. No other issues car has 160 K.

Nearly the perfect SUV for it's era!!!
I've owned dozens and dozens of car and this one has impressed me the most. Tons of power from the V6, typical Toyota reliability, very ergonomic, and very capable. I've hauled weight in this thing that would rival any truck and pulled a trailer that was double it's load rating. 2009 Toyota RAV4 Base review
Recall the 2009 like you did in 2008.
My only issue is it uses a lot of oil they had a 2008 recall on oil consumption they did not do anything for the 2009 with the same. Uses a quart every 500 miles. Bad lower rings, Toyota knew that in 08.

2008 Toyota RAV4 Base review
237,000 Miles and No Problems
My 2008 Toyota Rav4 has 237,000 miles and has not had one major repair yet - and hopefully never. :) The V6 is fantastic! The SUV is so quick of the line and has plenty of passing power. It is also very comfortable for long trips and has amply carrying capacity. Hope to get 500K miles on it.

2003 Toyota RAV4 Base review
Very Reliable
I was given my 03 RAV4 AWD manual transmission back in 2014 from my father in law only had 82k miles on it. He bought it new in 03 before deciding on buying a Tacoma to pull a large camper. I can definitely say to this day it has never left me stranded ever. It has 140k miles on it and still has the original clutch. It’s my daily driver for work and I have a 2015 Camry I drive now on the weekends. Definitely will never get rid of it
