Great looking, fun to drive 4x4, super reliable, leather interior but strong enough for 2 dogs and 2 kids. Goes anywhere. Roof rack easy to use. HAs all the electronic helper (BSM, cross traffic alert, lane keeping, adaptive cruise). The downside is the gas milage. 16.5 to 18 mpg depending on time of year & type of gas (summer vs winter gas). No service issues in 45,000 miles but they did some fuel pump recall when I was in for an oil change

I’ve owned a 2022 Toyota 4Runner sr5 for around 2 years now and the whole time I’ve put that thing through basically xxxx, and it has never ever broken, or had anything wrong with it, it may not be considered a truck to some but it sure has driven better than any truck I’ve ever driven, the 4Runner is a beast

Just purchased by 3rd 4runner Limited. Love that Toyota is reliable and I like sitting up over looking traffic. Toyota's hold there resale value. I did not purchase the extended warranty, I've never used it previously and think it's a waste of money unless you pur a EV. Also, the dealership might try to get you to buy windshield coverage....it's already in my auto insurance coverage. Shop around for rates, usually a credit union has pretty good rates if your credit score is good. Dealerships generally run higher interest rates. Also, make sure you get 2 key fobs. Just offering some general buying tips.

I purchased this 4Runner new, have only driven it moderatelybut far back into rarely ever traveled areas — definitelyfar away from any crowds. I do all maintenance myself, and there is extremely little of that. I have only replaced the original battery once. It handles very well in all situations. I did and strongly do recommend getting the factory high quality stabilizer system. Mine is a 4x4 Trail Edition and I ever so greatful for that. That provides truly complete 4 wheel drive but only when needed. Being a car mechanic when young, a Marine Colonel and a retired Professor of Plasma physics and Quantum Electrodynamics, I carefully studied all vehicles and options far in advance. The Toyota V-6 engine is famous for its extreme durability as is every part of the vehicle. I did, as a possibly excessive caution, replaced the perfectly good radiator with a larger, no–plastic radiator possessing far better transmission cooler. Also being a private airplane pilot for over 65 years, I have long ago learned to be pro-active rather than reactive. Silicone hoses and best quality German full synthetic oil in engine, transmission and both differentials. The European oil standards are far beyond American and aggressive testing has proven that beyond any doubt. I have also replaced the cheapy passenger car tires and wheels with full beadlock, wider, negative offset wheels (all 5) with Toyo 8-ply rated 275/75–17" tires (34"), improved the factory shocks with King 2-¾" shocks & springs, et al. Yes, I also designed & built high quality fore & aft stainless steel bumpers to carry an 10mt hydraulic winch and double swing out locking rear bumper to carry 3 20 liter NATO gas cans, high lift jack, 4 traction panels and the oversized spare tire. The driving and riding quality is genuinely wonderful. This vehicle will out live both my equally fantastic wife and myself, as well as the next series of owners. Just nothing ever goes wrong with it (full skid plates help). To date, I have never known of a more practical, pleasant, reliable vehicle, and we have gone to some very 'dicey' places without any fear of getting stuck or damaged. I honestly have never even heard of any vehicle remotely as reliable and comfortable even for long trips as the 4Runner. I had a 1987 4Runner but the 4 cylinder engine, while excellent, was just not powerful enough, although I did much prefer the standard 5 speed manual transmission over the current automatic transmission. In approximately 400,000 miles over 27 years, I only replaced the battery twice.

A2002 4 runner with almost 400,000 miles and I love it still traveling to other states on it and I leave my 2015 at home I only use it for work , had a 96 Camry for 15 yrs sold it with a little mileage like 300,890 miles and my sister still outing more miles on it Toyas last as long as you maintain them

My wife drives this vehicle and she is a small gal. She said it fits her great and rides very smooth. Gas mileage isnt the best but she doesnt drive it everyday so its not a big deal for us .

I had a voodoo blue for 5 years, then unfortunately totaled it last week. I LOVED this vehicle…and I am a road rep that clocks thousands of miles monthly. Yes, it’s a bit of a gas hog, but it’s about the SMILES per gallon, not the miles per gallon. If you love a square body, uncomplicated icon of a vehicle…this is it. No other justification needed. I WILL be getting another. I’m a 4Runner fan for life!

Not the most technologically advanced but that is what I was looking for, keep it simple! The features it has are the important ones, at least to me. This is my third one since 2011 and I love not having to bringing them in for repairs.

I was in need for a title as per the original one got lost in shipping, I called the business office and spoke to Bessie, I explained to her the situation and she said she will help me, but need more time to process it. Weeks later she called me to let me know that she got the title and she is sending it to me via FEDEX and gave me the tracking number, WOW thats a great service there. I love everything about my 2017 TRD PRO Cement Gray 4Runner "except" the ENTUNE system. The Quick Text message system only works 1 out of 20 times. Not very useful when hands free safety is concerned. Dealer R&Red the Entune system, however replacement Entune has same problem. Not happy as this adds to the danger of handling a phone instead of using the Entune Quick Text while driving. The Entune system Quick Text didn't work with either of my new Samsung or Moto Android phones even after I changed phone carriers. Also the right side touch screen buttons on the original Entune system failed as well. Very disappointed Toyota. This was my second 4runner purchase. Other than the Entune system, a perfect vehicle IMO.

This vehicle is very expensive to repair/parts. I've been hit a couple times already and the paint alone is very expensive / orange is what it appears as..

The BEST SUV Transportation vehicle that I have ever had, typical Toyota quality with the typical maintenance costs. BEWARE the TRD Edition of when a strut goes bad....THOUSANDS OF $$$ TO REPAIR, NOT JUST REPLACE A STRUT !!!!..HOWEVER, MY MISTAKE, I purchased this to replace a Chevy Tahoe that pulls a trailer....this IS NOT a replacement for such. It is a 6 cylinder SUV for a family NOT A WORK TRUCK.

It’s a 2023 so it only has 25’000 miles on it at this time, but I’m absolutely satisfied with the purchase. Sure, it’s not designed to be fast, ultra-comfortable, fuel efficient, but it excels in handling rough ranch roads and rough Dallas city potholes, nice narrow body for tight parking. It’s great as a highway cruiser, and the secret of the 4Runner is if you go 30-40mph over a fairly level road (AC off) you’ll hit 60mpg! Quite happy with it, a real urban assault vehicle, wish they came with a better selection of exterior colours though 👍

Love the car My first 4Runner that I have owned sits higher than a normal SUV .I love the lights very bright lights up the road. I have a big dog she goes in the back with plenty of room she loves that the window opens. The two negatives that I have are that my lights are not auto and the lift gate is not powered I had those in my last vehicle so I have to mentally make some adjustments. But still love the car❤️

Over the years I have purchased and serviced 3 Volvos at Ferman Volvo of Tarpon Springs. On the Service side, Service Techs, Sharon and Matt have always been very professional, friendly and helpful regarding the servicing of my vehicles. They clearly explain the work to be performed, the time it will take to complete the work and the cost of the service. They provide recommendations upkeep and future needs of the vehicle. Soon, I will be scheduling service for another one of my Volvos. Have had our 2023 Highlander XLE AWD since April 2023. Live in Chicago area and have driven to Arizona and Maine. Zero problems with the car. We put a large Thule box on the roof, multiple mountain bikes on a bike carrier and a kayak. Lots of luggage, got 27 miles per gallon on both trips. Plenty of power in the Rocky Mountains. Would recommend the car to others. We have a great Toyota dealership but all we have needed is schedule maintenance.
