Used Volkswagen Golf for sale near El Segundo, CA

A lot of the negative reviews on this place are a bit silly. In my experience from this past weekend, if you listen to the salesperson who you are assigned, bring all the documents requested, make appointments, and come fully prepared, you will have an excellent experience just as I did. I placed a 7-day hold on the exact car I wanted, and made an appointment to come test drive it and apply for financing a few days later. I spoke with my salesperson, Jerry Neyland, a few times on the phone before coming in, and he always had the answers I needed. He advised me on what documentation to bring with me, and when I arrived for my test drive appointment Jerry has the car ready for me. We took a quick test drive, I fell in love with the car, and we started the financing application. Since I brought everything we'd need, it was a BREEZE! In total, I was maybe at CarMax for 2 hours maximum. I had been stressing over it all week, only to find out it was all so, so simple. Jerry's customer service is second to none--he was friendly, quick, and understanding. He kept me informed every step of the way, and not once did I feel he was putting pressure on me or trying to "sell" me on anything. CarMax Buena Park gets 5 out of 5 stars for me, and Jerry Neyland gets 6 out of 5 stars! Overall an excellent experience in every regard.

This may be influenced by the fact that I hated my last car (chevy sonic), but I love my pre-owned Golf. It’s a Wolfsburg edition— which I understand to mean it just has more bells and whistles than usual. The engine is exceptionally quiet and it drives so smoothly, and accelerating is especially easy and quick. I’m a huge fan of the cargo space as well. The only downside is the minimal leg room in the back seat, but I’m not usually driving with multiple passengers so it’s not a big problem for me.

The car is a great balance between performance, economy, comfort, and versatility. It manages to do all of those things well, if not great. It won't win any races but it's fun to drive.

Thoroughly reliable diesel automobile. Steady fwy driving will get you 45 mpg. Nice not to have to change spark plugs. Likely not a great choice in subzero weather.

I had a great experience while purchasing a used car for my elderly parents. My great experience started when I first called the dealer to inquire about their inventory. I spoke to a gentleman named Ashot, gave him my budget, told him the car is for my elderly parents and that was all. He gave me few options, the car was detailed, went and looked at it, dropped few hundreds from the price and we were out with the car. Never once I felt pressured or uncomfortable during the process. I will definitely return as a customer and or refer my friends and families.

Great car from the legroom, folding seats, styling, and quality. It's a winner. I love that it's the same as a VW Golf but electric!

I recently bought a used 2016 Golf from the local VW car lot. It had previously been leased, had approx. 21,000 km and was in like-new condition. I was on the market for a newer hatchback (my last car was a 2006 Mazda 3 Sport) with more "bells and whistles". I narrowed it down to a newer Mazda 3 Sport and a VW Golf and chose the Golf because of its more streamlined, compact shape. The Golf has a shorter front end which I like the look of plus it makes it even easier to park. So far, I'm absolutely loving my new car and look forward to driving it every day!

I've owned Golfs for 7 years and absolutely love them. They are the perfect car. Fun to drive, just enough room for 4 people, great on gas, and with the rear seats folded down, there's an enormous amount of cargo space. The interior feels upscale with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and soft metallic accents, the leatherette seats are easy to clean and feel great (SO much better than fabric!) and the sound system is on point. Also love the heated seats and the sunroof with the option to crack open or fully open!!

On January 2, 2019, I bought a black CPO 2017 VW Golf Wolfsburg edition that only had 14,848 miles. It was relatively quiet but the car felt “loose”. The steering nor brakes felt tight. I think it was abused by the previous owner. I had to replace two tires due to wear (I replaced all 4 of them). No major issues. Even with my concerns, I thoroughly enjoyed the car. A couple of weeks ago, I was browsing through different VW dealers looking for CPO 2017 VW Golf Wolfsburg editions and I found 3 vehicles close to me, with low mileage, but one had a recently reduced price that bested the other two. On March 28, 2020, I traded my black Golf with 46795 miles for a CPO Dark Blue 2017 Golf Wolfsburg edition that only had 6,240 miles. This car was very well taken care of and still smells brand new. The steering and brakes are tight. Great suspension and it runs a lot smoother and quieter than my previous Golf. I really enjoy this vehicle. Love the hatchback versatility. There are only two downsides: 1- tight rear seat leg room 2- the US will not get the next generation Golf

CarPlay, turbocharged engine, compact, easy parking (that's a big deal in LA!). It's easy to why there's a whole community around the obsession with the Golf!

I just purchased this car this week. It is fully electric. I was impressed with the power and "get up" it has for an electric car. It has plenty of room inside.

Although I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle from STA, I'm happy to have discovered them. Jonathan took care of me right away, and allowed me to fully test the Cayenne GTS that drew me to the dealer. Things to note - This 3rd party dealer specializes in Porsche sales and repairs, that means they have a great inventory of older to newer Porsche's for sale and a full mechanic shop on site. So why not 5 stars overall? Well, unfortunately the GTS they had wasn't in the best shape and clearly needed some TLC before being shown for sale (car parts in the trunk, battery dead, ash tray stuck open). Now this could have been due to bad timing on my part but still - if you are going to specialize in Porsche sales and charge at the higher end of the cars value then the cars on the lot need to exude the German values the brand is known for. That being said I have my eyes on future offerings from this dealer and hope something wows me into a sale next time.

My third VW Golf - this one has been the best - love it for it's versatility, low cost of ownership, reliability (only things I've had to replace is tires and battery in 112,000 miles) and joy of driving - not the fastest off the line but cornering, braking and high-speed driving / passing - wow!

This Golf replaced a 2009 Rabbit that was totaled in an accident. The 2013 Golf was the same car with a different name, and different amenities. It's safe, economical and easy to drive. It never went into the shop for anything other than regular maintenance. I'd still own this car, but it was tragically murdered by a wayward driver not paying attention.

Cars.com helped me find the car I wanted and it was there at Auto Republic. I went in just to look, but I ended up driving home in my dream car. The experience was great and David was very helpful. Thank you too Cisco !!!!

Much Better Than Expected! Worth the Drive. Purchased a 2014 Toyota Sienna I drove several hours to this dealership to check out a specific 2014 Toyota Sienna—and I’m really glad I did. My salesperson, Chris, was outstanding from start to finish. He was extremely responsive, easy to work with, and genuinely honest. He answered all of my questions quickly and clearly, and was very personable without being pushy. The car was exactly as described, and the buying process was smooth. A day after I brought the Sienna home, the check engine light came on. I was obviously concerned since the sale was already finalized, but Chris immediately told me to bring it back in. The dealership diagnosed it as a faulty sensor and replaced it on the spot with OEM parts at no cost. That kind of post-sale support is rare, and really impressed me—they stood by their product 100%. One thing to note: there are dealership fees totaling about $1,400, which in my case were not negotiable, HOWEVER, the fees do include services like LoJack protection and a paint/interior protectant, so there’s actual value provided—not just markup. Also, if you look at the bottom of the ad, the dealership does mention that they are included. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my experience. The car is running great, the team was professional, and Chris went above and beyond. My experience was much more positive than the online reviews led me to expect. I test drove everything under the sun with a similar body style at a similar price point and this was without a doubt the winner. It come standard with turbo and has so much more pep than the competition. It was luxury features and you just know it's made well when you hear the satisfying thud when the doors close. Highly recommend.
