I love my Passat SE. My only complaint: being 6'1" I find it somewhat difficult to get in and out of the car. It sits too low. But once in the car it's most comfortable and a pleasure to drive. The driving assists and adaptive curse are marvelous. I think it's one of the nicest looking cars I've ever owned.

After over 78000 miles, nothing but regular maintenance. Trip from Atlanta to Ohio, 40 mpg. In town mileage 31-32 mpg. Had a 2014 and it was a great car as well. Paid $16,999 on sale in 2017 on Passat S. Best car in 55 years of driving.

I purchased my SEL from a dealership with only 13k miles. Great Value with every option you can get in a car the only thing it doesn't come with is a Heads Up Mph Display. The Fender Speakers System with Apple Car Play sounds rich. It has Wifi Bluetooth ,Heated back seats, Trunk Release by Foot, Remote Start, Rain Sensing wipers, auto dim rearview mirror. Door Entry lights auto, unlocks car automatically with a push button start. I wish the engine had more muscle. Overall so far 4.5 Stars

Was originally looking for a 2015 Passat diesel. Found a 2017 Passat Sel with 14000 certified miles. Love the elegant look of the big sedan. Front and rear seating is almost limousine like. The ride is excellent. The handling is pretty good too. Pick up from the 1.8 litter 4 is more than adequate. My gas mileage around town is anywhere from 25 on the low end to about 29 when I really watch it. On the expressway it's amazing. I have a brother in Wisconsin and the drive is about 95 miles. I have never averaged less than 40 and as high as 43.4 mpg. I guess I don't need a diesel. Own it 3 years now and I'd recommend one to anyone looking for a great ride with looks and great gas milage to boot. If I have one complaint it would be the touch radio and infotainment center. It is very touchy and doesn't work half the time. It just gets stuck on the last station you were on. It should be recalled as I have read that others also have this issue. Other than that I love my Passat.

Usually, when you have a bad outcome, people bash the service provider, but not in this case. I wasn't able to get approved without a down payment for a car. But I would like to take out the time and Thank Marcus England from the upmost, for the outstanding customer service, he has been giving me for the past 2 weeks. Had a 2015 Passat and now this 2017 SE w/Tech and Light Pkg. Had some frontend noise issues, the same on both the 15 and 17. It was expensive to fix at around 80K miles. My only tech problem is that my passenger side mirror stopped going down to display the curb when I back up. Average mileage is around 26 -27 with 75% city, stop and go traffic. I am pleased with that. My biggest complaint is my wife's complaint, the front seats aren't made for long trips. Her part is the Lumbar support, mine would be the lack of seat cushion. Other than those things, I love my Passat. The little tiny 1.8L is never short of power for me. I live in Texas and I don't feel good about pushing the little motor hour after hour much past 70 -75 mph, so I do get passed a lot, but I make up for it at the gas pumps.

This vehicle has exceeded my expectations. Smooth ride with lots of space. Two concerns with the brake sensor going bad too early for me and the park pilot message constantly coming on.

Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

Even though I have not purchased yet , they are very negotiable and patience . I did get a good deal , just not ready yet to buy

Bought a 2016 CPO with about 65k miles. (Never had to use the warranty). 1.8 L turbo engine has surprising low end torque and lots of highway passing HP. GREAT MPG! Lots of leg room for all passengers. A really great road trip car. Lost it in a crash @ 110k :(

My 2020 Passat SE is a great car. It has a comfortable ride. The 6 speed Tiptronic (automatic) transmission shifts smoothly. Minimal wind noise in the quiet cabin. Does not have auto engine stop/start feature (thank goodness) but does have adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and rain sensing wipers. I get 31-32 mpg in town and about 36.5 mpg highway. My car insurance bill actually went down with all the safety features. I got my car for $7000 less than MSRP. Big trunk and plenty of legroom in back seat. 600+ mile range between fillups!

I bought a 2014 VW Passat SE in 2014 Brand New. I have done all the recommended maintenance on the car since I bought it and I have never had it break on me. I just hit 100k last month. I was driving down the highway a few weeks ago and I hit what appeared to be a piece of concrete or asphalt in the road. It made a loud thud under my car and I immediately lost power and the car turned off. I had it towed to the dealership. Whatever I hit took out my fuel pump that is inside the gas tank. They charged me $2100 to fix it. So I can tell you first hand these cars are reliable if you do all the maintenance like you are supposed to. But when they do Break, they cost way more than they should to fix them!
