I love my Passat SE. My only complaint: being 6'1" I find it somewhat difficult to get in and out of the car. It sits too low. But once in the car it's most comfortable and a pleasure to drive. The driving assists and adaptive curse are marvelous. I think it's one of the nicest looking cars I've ever owned.

Bought it brand new. Overall not bad but has some flaws in ergonomics. Cheap plastic that doesnt stay in place. Had to glue gas tank door plate to prevent it from coming off. Little bit underpowered for a turbo. Windows control in weird place, never can get the right bottom without looking. Transmission always shifts like it cant pick the gear it wants to be in. May upshift and downshift at the same time which feels like you get kicked in the rear.

After over 78000 miles, nothing but regular maintenance. Trip from Atlanta to Ohio, 40 mpg. In town mileage 31-32 mpg. Had a 2014 and it was a great car as well. Paid $16,999 on sale in 2017 on Passat S. Best car in 55 years of driving.

Bought a 2016 CPO with about 65k miles. (Never had to use the warranty). 1.8 L turbo engine has surprising low end torque and lots of highway passing HP. GREAT MPG! Lots of leg room for all passengers. A really great road trip car. Lost it in a crash @ 110k :(

I purchased my SEL from a dealership with only 13k miles. Great Value with every option you can get in a car the only thing it doesn't come with is a Heads Up Mph Display. The Fender Speakers System with Apple Car Play sounds rich. It has Wifi Bluetooth ,Heated back seats, Trunk Release by Foot, Remote Start, Rain Sensing wipers, auto dim rearview mirror. Door Entry lights auto, unlocks car automatically with a push button start. I wish the engine had more muscle. Overall so far 4.5 Stars

I bought a lease turn-in and it had 31k miles. So far, this car is in mint condition and rides and drives like a dream with a 4 cylinder turbo engine and no problems so far. This is a great looking, very roomy German vehicle with style and passaze. I hope this car last for many years to come.

The car was bumped when being pulled out of the dealership and there was a dent on the back bumper as a result. The interior had colored pencil and other marks inside, and there was a small tear in the backseat leather. There is an issue with the EPC where a sudden stop, or jolt of the vehicle will cause the EPC light to go on and the car will start to drive funny. When driving conditions are stable and it is reset by turning the car off, that isn’t a problem. Though I may just take it in to the dealership to have them fix any and everything wrong.

My 2016 Passat SE was purchased new and has not let us down. Our only expenses have been oil changes, replacing a battery and a set of tires due to age. Very good value & driver, a shame VW stopped its production.

My wife and I are very pleased with our choice of the 2018 VW Passat SE. The value received with nice interior and exterior features is excellent. I wish could find and afford the V6 version, but the gas mileage with the 2.0 Turbo is really nice.

Cars Unlimited of Santa Ana may seem like your average used car dealership as you drive by. The reviews are a hit or miss online and you really don't know what to believe. My three takeaways from this place is transparency, honesty and quality. As a car enthusiast, I found a particular vehicle here I was interested in, and I worked with Peyman Reisi, the manager of Cars Unlimited of Santa Ana and I had a great experience. From Peyman to his employees everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. They were prompt to answer any questions I had about the car prior to coming in. They provided me with a Carfax and Autocheck report upon arriving and gave me ample time to check the car out and even allowed me to take it out for a lengthy test drive. The staff was fully transparent about anything they knew about the car and also fully encouraged me to have it checked out by a mechanic or dealership of my choice if I wanted to, of course, at my cost. If there were any issues, Peyman and his team said they would work on getting it sorted out, or reimburse the cost prior to finalizing the deal. You have to remember, this is a used car dealership, not everything is going to be perfect, it isn't a new car, but they will strive to make sure they get you into a solid, reliable car. Not even a large franchise dealer can guarantee something won't go wrong a few weeks down the road, that is why Peyman stands by his cars and offers a warranty if things do happen or allow you to get it fully inspected prior to purchasing. The entire team here was not pushy nor did they use any of your typical sales pitch when I was viewing the car. They were very hands off from the moment I pulled into the parking lot and the moment I left with the car. They gave you just the right amount of attention without being overbearing and pushy on the sale, whether you buy a car or not, they will treat you the same way they'd want to be treated. I observed this with different customers they interacted with. They have a very good selection of cars, and if they don't have what you're looking for, they can help source it for you and have it fully checked out prior to you purchasing it. At the end of the day, use your due diligence when buying a used car, whether it's from a smaller dealership like this one or a large franchise one. Not every car will be perfect, but it is the actions and integrity of the dealership that will set it apart. Was originally looking for a 2015 Passat diesel. Found a 2017 Passat Sel with 14000 certified miles. Love the elegant look of the big sedan. Front and rear seating is almost limousine like. The ride is excellent. The handling is pretty good too. Pick up from the 1.8 litter 4 is more than adequate. My gas mileage around town is anywhere from 25 on the low end to about 29 when I really watch it. On the expressway it's amazing. I have a brother in Wisconsin and the drive is about 95 miles. I have never averaged less than 40 and as high as 43.4 mpg. I guess I don't need a diesel. Own it 3 years now and I'd recommend one to anyone looking for a great ride with looks and great gas milage to boot. If I have one complaint it would be the touch radio and infotainment center. It is very touchy and doesn't work half the time. It just gets stuck on the last station you were on. It should be recalled as I have read that others also have this issue. Other than that I love my Passat.

I am surprise after 51,596 and the heating core needs replacing? This does not seem normal, my nissian was over 180,000 miles before something happen to the heat. There has been a problem with this car from the beginning. When it was brand new (which I bought it with 16 miles?? brand new out of the show room) I had some problem with the air summer of 2016. The sales man told me to cut it Off and turn it back on. And it has been working but occasional I had to make that adjustment. I am not sure if this had anything to do with the heater coil. I talked to the service advisor and he had seen several core replacement. I was wondering if there was a RECALL. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you

My 2020 Passat SE is a great car. It has a comfortable ride. The 6 speed Tiptronic (automatic) transmission shifts smoothly. Minimal wind noise in the quiet cabin. Does not have auto engine stop/start feature (thank goodness) but does have adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and rain sensing wipers. I get 31-32 mpg in town and about 36.5 mpg highway. My car insurance bill actually went down with all the safety features. I got my car for $7000 less than MSRP. Big trunk and plenty of legroom in back seat. 600+ mile range between fillups!

So i went in already knowing what i wanted. Had my appointment already made and he was there waiting for me no issues. It was kind of strange to me how he didn’t know where the vehicles were so we had to go look for it. We walked for a bit then got into another vehicle to search for the vehicle. I think the lot and vehicle locations should be better situated. The buying process was easy and smooth. When the car was purchased i was waiting for a final cleaning and check of the car. This took forever. When i finally got the car. The inside of the windows were still dirty you can see the finger prints and the rear emblem had some chemical in it that oxidized the emblem. It took them a long time to seem like nothing had been done properly. I did appreciate the person helloing me to keep checking on me and letting me know the status instead of leaving me. The clean process and check process of the car needs to be better managed. It shouldn’t take that long for a half xxx job.

It has everything I wanted in car. Its best attributes is it's gas mileage. Over 500 miles from a tank with normal driving not all highway mileage.

This was one of my favorite cars I test drove, but also one of the base models. It has a huge trunk and tons of room for a car seat or 2. Gets an average of 38-40mpg which is awesome for my driving to and from work.

I bought a 2014 VW Passat SE in 2014 Brand New. I have done all the recommended maintenance on the car since I bought it and I have never had it break on me. I just hit 100k last month. I was driving down the highway a few weeks ago and I hit what appeared to be a piece of concrete or asphalt in the road. It made a loud thud under my car and I immediately lost power and the car turned off. I had it towed to the dealership. Whatever I hit took out my fuel pump that is inside the gas tank. They charged me $2100 to fix it. So I can tell you first hand these cars are reliable if you do all the maintenance like you are supposed to. But when they do Break, they cost way more than they should to fix them!

This car met all of my needs, this has an excellent pickup. Oil Change & schedule of maintenance is for every 10K miles or 1 Yr.
