The car was fun to drive. With a 5cyl engine, it definitely have me the get up I needed. I didn't have much problems with her besides changing the clutch out twice. But you shouldn't have to deal with that problem if you take it to peyote who know what they are doing. My car had a couple of accidents but you would never have been able to tell. The vehicle was repaired and drove like new. If I wanted another coupe, I definitely would buy again.

Bart & Ernie went above and beyond to assure me that the under body was essentially rust free. Bart sent me 6 photos of the under side. Bart even offered 3 different options to get the vehicle to me including picking me up at the airport for free to drive the impala back to northern Maine. Well...Truth be told, I love this car. I am partial and biased. That being said, read at your own risk. It's positively adorable. Considering its age, it runs pretty darn well. I can honestly say that in the 6 years that I've owned it, I never had to fix a mechanical issue with the engine. She was a disaster on the outside (body)but has been thoroughly restored. Now I'm passing the torch. Whoever buys this gem has to update the interior. Keep me in mind when it's been done and send some pictures.

I got it for $750 for my 15th birthday. it was 1973 Volkswagen SuperBeetle (upgraded McPherson Suspension, different trims etc) I spend next five year rebuild the beetle and engine. it was my favorite car to work on everything was so easy to work on and parts are ready available all over the world.

Solid for a convertible. Goes surprisingly well in the snow and with the seats down can haul stuff. I have this as my only car and it is actually very practical. Plus, it’s just a joy to drive.
