2017 Volkswagen Golf R review
Best small car I've ever owned. Good MPH, fun to drive and a wonderful sound system. The all wheel drive along with the get up and go of this car is excellent.

2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
GTI's do almost everything well. Economy, performance, flexibility, holds value, road car, back roads car, safety, comfort, feature-laden and now almost $10K less than the price of the average new vehicle. Two minor flaws IMO. All GTI's should have Golf R climate controls. Standard controls too confusing and fussy. Rather set it and forgot it. DSG is "still funky after all these years." Don't get me wrong, the lightning quick shifts and in-traffic ease are compelling, but DSGs can be clunky and feel strange at low speed and can't yet read all of your intentions correctly, thus some odd decisions/shifts on occasion. Not a fault, just a thing. Otherwise brilliant. GTI is among the contenders for "best" mass-produced combustion engine car of all time. Yes, that good. If shopping the used market, I would strongly suggest one try to get a Performance Package car. Much better brakes that won't need brake service as often and stop better. Also, the electronically controlled differential aids both traction and handling.

And what turned out to be something absolutely no one could imagine happening to a low mileage truck- blown head gasket/potential cracked cylinder! They not only fixed this unfortunate and unforeseen issue, but completely replaced it within one week of the check engine light! WOW!! Dan and Royal Automotive put a new engine for me...completely covered!! This place truly wants to not only see you happy, but keep you happy for the future. I can honestly say for such a big issue on a new-used vehicle, I am as happy as a customer could possibly be. I WILL refer him to friends and family, and I WILL purchase from them again! 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
The engineering and design are outstanding . The driving experience is very special for this price range. It’s real fun to drive. It’s an icon. Let down by quality issues unknown to Japanese vehicles and ridiculous service and repair costs. I love the car but dread any encounter with the dealer in North Tampa.. I think their service charges are equal to BMW and Mercedes.

2020 Volkswagen Golf review
I've owned Golfs for 7 years and absolutely love them. They are the perfect car. Fun to drive, just enough room for 4 people, great on gas, and with the rear seats folded down, there's an enormous amount of cargo space. The interior feels upscale with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and soft metallic accents, the leatherette seats are easy to clean and feel great (SO much better than fabric!) and the sound system is on point. Also love the heated seats and the sunroof with the option to crack open or fully open!!
