GTI's do almost everything well. Economy, performance, flexibility, holds value, road car, back roads car, safety, comfort, feature-laden and now almost $10K less than the price of the average new vehicle. Two minor flaws IMO. All GTI's should have Golf R climate controls. Standard controls too confusing and fussy. Rather set it and forgot it. DSG is "still funky after all these years." Don't get me wrong, the lightning quick shifts and in-traffic ease are compelling, but DSGs can be clunky and feel strange at low speed and can't yet read all of your intentions correctly, thus some odd decisions/shifts on occasion. Not a fault, just a thing. Otherwise brilliant. GTI is among the contenders for "best" mass-produced combustion engine car of all time. Yes, that good. If shopping the used market, I would strongly suggest one try to get a Performance Package car. Much better brakes that won't need brake service as often and stop better. Also, the electronically controlled differential aids both traction and handling.

I recently bought a used 2016 Golf from the local VW car lot. It had previously been leased, had approx. 21,000 km and was in like-new condition. I was on the market for a newer hatchback (my last car was a 2006 Mazda 3 Sport) with more "bells and whistles". I narrowed it down to a newer Mazda 3 Sport and a VW Golf and chose the Golf because of its more streamlined, compact shape. The Golf has a shorter front end which I like the look of plus it makes it even easier to park. So far, I'm absolutely loving my new car and look forward to driving it every day!

I was looking for a car in September. I drove an Atlas as a used car dealership. So we decided to just check them out. Ethan McDonald who took us on was fantastic. It was a nice experience overall. I bought a Hyundai Veloster for my son. The team was very welcoming and helpful, especially Maya and Adam. It’s been 22 days and the car we bought drives very good. The prices in general were good compared with the market as per the research I did back then. I also liked the 5 years maintenace plan they give for free. I do recommend Carone. The engineering and design are outstanding . The driving experience is very special for this price range. It’s real fun to drive. It’s an icon. Let down by quality issues unknown to Japanese vehicles and ridiculous service and repair costs. I love the car but dread any encounter with the dealer in North Tampa.. I think their service charges are equal to BMW and Mercedes.

This Beetle was my car that I traded in recently for a new Tiguan. The car was excellent, and always reliable. We wanted to own one of the last Beetles made, and glad that we purchased it from Mt. Prospect VW (AutoBarn) four years ago. Whoever purchases this bug, is getting a great car, and we will miss it!

Thoroughly reliable diesel automobile. Steady fwy driving will get you 45 mpg. Nice not to have to change spark plugs. Likely not a great choice in subzero weather.

I went to buy a cash car. I had a price range to follow. I looked at a Lexus 07 LS460. I was helped out in getting a deal for this car by Jesse. I had some some request to be addressed first, to make me feel better about the deal. I saw they where all made. Maybe not to a high standard but they were done. It's a 07. It's got issues. Yes. It's a used car but the buying experience was never an issue. Would I go back to buy another one? Yes. Will I tell a friend? Yes. Had a fair and easy negotiation on a used car. Adrian in sales was great! Ally paid for my Uber to pickup the car. After I drove car for several days and ~100 miles check engine light came on. Needed catalytic converter. I asked Adrian if Ally if could help, and they paid for the repair!

Bought used golf R at 100k miles. Currently needs new struts dcc (3000), water pump 3rd time (2500), and walnut blasting (500). Maintenance is not cheap on these cars and they have known repeated issues(water pump). I have the DSG stage 1 car is wicked fast. Like embarrass a mustang 5.0 hang with and m5/m3, gap an sti or focus rs. Seriously one of the quickest cars out there in a straight line. But has no soul,interior is Uber quiet (can’t hear exhaust), dsg is great for up shifts but has a definite lag on downshifts. Suspension is awful especially with 19’s crashes and booms over everything passengers will jump, not good for daily driving on anything but the best roads. Brakes are phenomenal along with pedal feel and honestly will stop on a dime. It’s not true and as it is FWD until slip is detected but it rips. In my opinion even though it is way faster,brakes better, fender audio best I’ve heard, the Wrx is way more fun ! If you are ready for expensive repair bills and checking your fluids all the time buy a VW.

This car is AMAZING. This car was the second hardest thing to give up after my dog. The drive is SO SMOOTH. The interior is very stylish, and I love the brushed metal interior. No tacky chrome. I absolutely love mine because It has the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It was SO RELIABLE IN THE SNOW! My partner would use it to drive to work when it stormed bad. Being able to use the lower gears and shift on the steering wheel made me feel so safe when I was caught in a crazy snow storm. The heated seats were also a genius invention.

2016 e-Golf SEL bought use 2yr old for 16K with 28k mi. Now 10/2023 with 63k miles. Two tires an a bunch of wipers. Fun, handles well, cheap charging costs (4.2/kWh), 5.3 mi/kWh, practical layout. No updating the navigation, not the best visibility but great backup camera. Not thrilled about the defrost wires in the windshield but it is fast. One foot driving is great! Like a poor man's Model 3.

It is a fun car to own, great gas mileage and even if your not going to turn it into a rice burner it is still a awesome little car and gots alot of power, you can get around all these slow idiot drivers that seem to be all over the place. The interior is nice and comfortable, I have already took mine on a trip to Cali and no comfort issues, smart with mechanical other than stuff that should of been taken care of by the dealership on their "certified pre-owned inspection" but that is a dealership laziness issue so stay away from Larry H Miller Volkswagen in Avondale and you should be ok. Look forward to many many years & miles behind the wheel of my car and would recommend this car
