I drove a Golf TSI for years and absolutely loved it. Never wanted drive a different car as long as Iived. Then I had a kid(which is is tight with a golf) and someone pulled out in front of me and it got totalled. I took the money and upgraded to the Alltrack because its basically the same car with more room and AWD. Absolutely love it! Gas mileage is significantly lower than my Golf, but it still has some zip. The DSG transmission is like butter. Ill drive this car into the ground.

My wife and I were going shopping for a new SUV at a Subaru dealership but weren't sure about the CVT on the Forester when we ran across a used 2014 Tiguan with only 1,700 miles on it. We both liked the functional but restrained look of the interior of the Tiguan with its smaller, well-integrated screen rather than the fussy look of dashboards in other cars. This Tiguan was the SEL with every option other than 4 motion. With nearly 80,000 miles on it, I am still pleased on how it handles in Los Angeles freeway traffic. It has enough power to smoothly merge onto freeways and it has very tight and true tracking despite freeway bumps and potholes. Reliability has been very good. This model year solved the chain tensioner issue plaguing earlier years and this was also one of the last model years to be built in Germany so its fit and finish has held up very well.

've had Volvo's for the past 20 years and just purchase a 2025 CPO Volvo XC 60 from Crest and I couldn't be happier. My sales person Allison was amazing. She was respectful of my time, professionally worked with me on the deal, no dealer games, no crazy add on's, just a true professional. Overall the car is good for commuting. The MPG is about 29-38 mpg averages. Takes 87-91 gas. The power is quick on start up but struggles at the higher speeds. MPG goes down of low 30s at faster freeway speeds. The car makes a weird mechanical noise at start up sounds like a vent or lever opening / closing and also another weird noise when the rear view camera opens and closes when put in reverse. I dash lights for air bag are always on in yellow and emergency lights in red. I cover with black tape case at night time these are annoying. The Day time light are always on which are annoying. It does cause a slight drain on battery and alternator. If you put your parking back on when stop the lights go off. Its a rough ride even with new tires. Its a low to ground so hard to get in and out of if your tall.

We purchased a used TDI with 50K miles. now has over 150K and have only done oil changes and fuel filter. Only necessary repair was the HVAC blower motor just recently failed. Incredibly reliable car. Diesel engine paired with the 6 speed automatic trans delivers awesome torque whenever you need it. 50+ mpg on hwy trips and averaging 39 mpg commuting. The interior is obviously not luxurious but comfortable enough to keep you happy. I should mention the Stereo system and bluetooth is unreliable. Powers itself on and off at random and will require repair. The cargo area is surprisingly large when the seats are folded down as well.

I worked with Evan and Joe on a new lease. They were terrific in walking me through the options on buying vs. leasing pros/cons. Evan had the deal done within the day and was driving the car the following day. Evan also walked me through the setup on the VW app and new features in the car in 15 minutes. This is the second lease for me at Coastal. Each time has been a great experience.

Bought car used in 2021 did the timing belt and water pump at 100 k due to leak replaced the infotainment screen due to flickering in 2022 . Replaced driver door handle due to malfunction with keyless system in 2022 ,do oil changes on the diesel at 5 k as opposed to factory 10k because I think it's a better choice for long-term use after you get used to the diesel quirks it gets great mileage and is super comfortable with the heated seats would buy another one on a minute

It's fun to drive, versatile with lots of storage space and has reasonably good gas mileage (36 hwy/24 city). It has an amazing turn radius. Somewhat noisy during highway driving and kind of deficient infotainment/safety features. But it's been reliable so far (100k miles). And did I mention fun to drive?

We bought a used 2019 a month ago. I wasn't aware of these. As I researched a replacement for my wife's GMC Terrain, I learned about all of the bad CVT transmissions and oil burning engines in that class. Happened on a used Alltrack for sale at a dealer and as I researched the dsg transmission and looked up reviews - I was pretty excited by what I read. We have taken in on one 6-hour trip through the mountains and several 3-hour family visits. I love driving it. Probably my favorite car I have driven other than my old 2000 Volvo S70. It seems to be very well built. It is insanely quiet on the road and it has great acceleration. We travel with two kids and two dogs and it zips right up mountain passes, rarely cracking 3k rpm. I wish we had about 2 more inches in the trunk for our kennel, but it is a large space. I am anxious to try the AWD in some Montana snow this winter. Sadly its my wife's driver, but I get to drive it on trip!

Love this car. It’s drives well. I have owned for two years and it’s very reliable and affordable to maintain. It’s always fun to drive. Great cargo room. Great stereo and audio features. Great gas mileage. I really really love it. Best car ever. I have had outback’s, Prius, accords, civics, and carollos and this car is the best. So happy with it. I am waiting for a new fresher model to come out but not in a rush.

This review is for a 19 GSW S 6MT with the 1.4L. Bought the car for 30% off MSRP, you can take a discount for Uber, military and college discount is for you eligible for all three on it. Got it for 17.6k out the door. Lots of room. Fun to drive. Cheap thrills and available with a stick, good mileage at around 30-33 overall with the 1.4L. 40mpg on the highway no problem.

We are unabashed fans of station wagons built on sport sedan platforms, and we are distressed to see this best-of-all-worlds configuration disappearing from the US market, even though it remains deservedly popular in Europe. We bought a 2016 Sportwagen one year ago; our other car is a 2001 VW Passat wagon, which we plan to keep running as long as we reasonably can. The Sportwagen excels on fuel efficiency, handles very well, and offers more-than-adequate performance. Although it is almost as large outside as the Passat, it offers noticeably less usable cargo volume, albeit still sufficient for most purposes. Sideward and rearward visibility are better than average, but no match for the Passat wagon, which is almost unbeatable in this category. Styling is elegantly clean, simple, and timeless. We have had no problems yet, and we happily note that the engine has a generous 6 qt. oil capacity, versus the Passat's 3.7 qts., which I expand to 4.25 by using an oversized Mann oil filter. The larger oil capacity should reduce the incidence of infamous oil "sludge" (technically, baked-on coke). German cars offer a superb driving experience, but they need to be maintained fastidiously; they do not thrive on neglect the way a Toyota might.

I've owned my 2018 Sportwagen S for two years now. Zero problems of any kind. I get 34 mpg in the city and it has all the room, power, and features I need or want. So far, the best car I've ever owned!

The BEST daily driver I own a 17’ S, and I love it. Holds all my stuff, holds 2 dogs, can put a ski box on top, and best of all, it shares a platform with the GTI. I’ve put many performance parts on and it makes this thing a blast to drive. All while getting me to 150k+ with zero major issues! (Owned for 50k)

Love my Alltrack! While snug, it is a compact, its well oriented, and fun to drive. I have the sky roof option, and love it. Typical German engineering, simple on the frills, but great performance. Plenty of room in the trunk area for most anything. Visually a great looking car, inside and out. Outstanding gas mileage, and it'll even teach you to get the most out of it mileage wise.

I own a 2017 Golf Alltrack SE and have maintained in accordance with scheduled maintenance in the manual. I love this car - it has "everything" that I need. Sure I'd love a bump in performance but it handles considerably well. I haven't had any issues with the car and have owned it for ~3 years now. It isn't "exciting" by any means but it is extremely versatile and comfortable to ride/drive. I'm very disappointed that VW has removed the wagon from the North American market - it gets the gas mileage of a sedan with many of the benefits of a small pickup truck. If they released a more powerful version of this car I'd almost be too tempted not to get one.

My technician, Shaff, did a great job of helping me. I was getting an oil change and he and the mechanic recommended I get the front breaks done before my road trip. The engine treatment also seemed to give the car more pickup. Thanks again!!

This is one of the best vehicles I’ve owned. As a big fan of wagons, there are very few options in America, and this is certainly the best value out there. There were only two trim levels available, which means the base S model is really well equipped (heated seats, CarPlay, etc.). It’s a shame VW discontinued this model!

I bought my first VW from Ide in 2016 and Nick was my salesman. I can honestly say it was an amazing buying experience. I always said my next car would be another VW, it would be from Ide and I wanted the same sales rep. I just picked up a 2024 Jetta from Ide and had Nick guide me through the entire process again. It was seamless and easy. I can’t thank him or Ide enough!

Purchased used S 5-speed manual with 33,000 miles on it about four years back. Just passed 100,000 miles last month. Only one problem so far, with the passenger door latch assembly. We get about 37 MPG mixed city and highway, and 45-50 MPG in interstate highway driving. FWD and snow tires work fine here in Wisconsin. The turbo motor and 5-speed provide all of the acceleration one will *actually* need, and also provide those great economy numbers. As part of the Golf platform, it's a solid car and the handling is good. The ride comfort is also good, maybe enhanced by the taller 16" tires on the S version. Simple controls, without an overly complicated radio / info system. Manual ventilation controls (knobs) are a huge plus. With the rear seats down, it has about the same cargo space as our 2009 Subaru Outback: little narrower but also a little longer. Good outward visibility. Driver seat can get a little tiring after a long drive (4 hours or more) but it's comparable with other highway vehicles we've owned. Reasonably quiet inside considering it's essentially an economy vehicle. A very nice economy vehicle, though. We like it enough that we're considering getting another one before there are no more good wagons in the market.

Rex is outstanding. He recently sold me a new 2025 CR-V. He was very helpful and genuinely warm and friendly. He arranged for me to drive it home to see if my handicapped husband could get in and out of it easily. It was perfect and I purchased the car. After driving it for a month, I became concerned of a possible steering issue and notified Rex. He immediately fit me in to repair and couldn't have been more accommodating. I've put 78,000 miles on my VW Alltrack and it's been a comfortable and reliable ride with enough turbo juice to make it fun around town and on the highway. It's done well off the pavement but nothing too crazy or rocky. The Alltrack was not the least bit challenged by a 40-inch snowfall in Flagstaff, Ariz., in Feb. 2019. I dug it it out and it performed flawlessly. My sixth VW and this one has been well worth the investment.
