Purchased my 2010 Volvo S80 used with 89k miles. I now have over 215k miles and the car has remained very reliable with only minor repairs required during my ownership. This was my first Volvo experience. Here are a couple things worth noting for those considering this vehicle. By far the most enjoyable vehicle I have owned for long distance driving. My fatigue is minimal when driving this car compared to others. The 3.2L engine is very smooth and powerful. 3,500lb towing capacity! I’ve been able to pull my 2k lb boat on multiple vacations over 1k miles with out issues. Parts are available at FCP Euro for a reasonable price if you are handy and can perform minor maintenance on your own. This has saved me significantly. I love the the premium sound system, seats and ride quality. After 215k miles, the car is still tight with little noise. Build quality is exceptional. I’ve enjoyed this car so much that I purchased a 2012 S80 T6 AWD recently. Having driven both, I’m indifferent from a commuting perspective on the extra hp. I find the 3.2 is more than adequate with torque and acceleration and returns on average 26mpg. The 2010 remains in the family and I have no doubt it will achieve 250k miles. Excellent work Volvo!

I bought a black 2012 s80 t6 platinum and inscription package with 126k miles about 2 months ago.we had a volvo in the 70s..a 340D..loved that car and any other make would not gsve saved my brothers life When he hit a pier head on with 4 buddies in the car. Anyways my S80 is a beautiful looking car...and as soon as i planted my butt in the heated lesther seats i sank into them with a sigh of pleasure Never have i sat in a car seat like these..certainly a comgortable throne fit for a king I tinted the windows and got 2 out of round rims fixed had volvo jet out the carbon deposits in engine. Replaced all filters and fluids and took her out on the highway and she performed like a purring cheetah with her 300 hp t6 engine she exploded with pace. I love the car and i hope it will be my last.i feel right at home in the car .everyone compliments me on it. ..it gets around 20/21 around town.and anout 26 to 37 on highway..i drove from nyc to lake placid and was falling asleep so i asked my wife to drive it just south of albany..i fell asleep quickly but woke up to a blizzard and my wife doing 85 mph..i flipped out abd told her how dangerous foung this was..she just looked at me with a smile and said.."its a fast car honey no one is passing me"..well my filipina wife ( who never drove in snow storm) says ..no one is passing us..i said please pullover and i would drive the rest of way..the car handles heavily on mountain bendy roads and as storm got heavier i switched to winter mode ( put into manual and drive in 3rd gear) the car stuck to the roaD like glue in the snow with all season radials..the car performed like a champ all trip..my love affair with the car continues and i just hope it last for ever...its the furst time a car ever actually made me feel happy..literally I hope the cost of maintenace wont be that bad and we keep on chugging along

Great performance - turbo/supercharge T6 - perfect comfort balanced with very good handling - just the right amount of space - very good technology. Very sad they discontinued it. S90 too big and costly. S60 not quite big enough.

Just purchased this S80 3.2l and have been driving it for a little under a month, including the 9 hour trip home from the lot I bought it from, which I was Abit nervous about doing in a used car with 177000km. So far I am very impressed. It's no race car, but having a family, I was not looking for one.. it's a 9 year old sedan, but still looks good and performs well. I spent close to a year researching many different makes and models. I wanted luxury and reliability without the costly trips to the mechanic ( German auto makers ) I also wanted something different that had character unlike the Japanese car makers. The S80 checked both boxes. I would have preferred the T6 awd version , but the ones in my price range all had well over 200 000kms. The interior is well layed out and simple to use. The only negative so far is the blind spot monitoring system. It dose not work at all when it rains. 10 - 11 hours of highway travel on 1 tank of gas is always a bonus. If you are worried about cost of ownership, find a good independent Volvo mechanic, and buy any parts online ( not from a dealership )

Sold a 2018 Honda Civic 2 dr coupe on Friday, 11/14. Alex was absolutely great. They purchased the automobile for exactly what they had quoted. We will never sell or purchase with any other dealership! They were fair and honest which is not true of many other dealerships. Would recommend whether buying or selling. I've owned 3 Volvos before this one & drove each 1mto around 150K moles or more without any (repeat: ANY) mechanical problems of any kind. My new S80 now has 24K miles & is the best one yet. It gets 37+ mpg on the road, 24+ mpg around town is comfortable to ride in and an easy delight to drive. Volvo & it's dealers really take care of you & are also delightful to deal with. I can afford whatever car I choose but for almost 50 years it's been nothing but Volvos. I've never been disappointed.

Had the issue yesterday with an older Infiniti and an expensive cruise sensor from Infinity. General manager and the service technician came up with a work around to get us back on the road. Thank you infinity Omaha for going the extra mile to help us.👍

Bought at 2014 with 22000 km from daily rental now 100000 km. daily driving, very comfortable ride. The Volvo's sound system the best! Over all has no issues, windshield was replaced at 96000 km. due to leaking. Regular maintenance, brake pads, rotors, that's it!

The S80 is an underrated. luxury sedan. It provides a solid comfortable ride with convenient controls. The rear seats fold down to allow a roomy space for large cargo.

I went to a few dealership on Saturday with my wife looking for a car for my college bound son. We were both impressed with Arko and how kind and easy going they were. A few places we went to didn't even bother to come out and say hello. When we told Arko we weren't looking to purchase quite yet he still gave us the same attention as he did when he thought he'd maybe have a sale that day. We will for sure be back.

I really like this car. The styling is sedate, it doesn't draw attention to itself. It doesnt need to. Materials are of excellent quality. I have the 3.2L and it has more than enough performance for me. Its a large family sedan, not a sports car. Feels solid and safe.

Owned my 2010 s80 t6 for 6 years and couldn't be more proud. The kinda car you get compliments of and ages like no other if you take care of the basic stuff. It's not a sports car but it can smoke so many newer vehicles out there that will put a smile on your face every time u drive it. It feels solid like a tank, wonderful ride, sound system is amazing, and it's definitely a reliable over built machine. Be obsessed with your maintenance, flush your transmission every 30k no matter what anyone says and this thing will take you to the moon.

Performs better/as well as my wife's new BMW X5 4.4 (sport package) with the fuel economy of a Honda Accord! Best part of this car is the fact that it is a beast of a luxury car without the pretension of a Mercedes. Customers/clients/friends riding in my car say it's one of the most comfortable riding experiences.

In 2020, I bought a Volvo S80 2.9 petrol, 200hp, from 2001. It had 136,000 kilometers and a full service history from the first owner. I bought the car for. The car looked very good. Bordeaux red with a beige leather interior with full options. Blind spot warning, automatically dimming interior mirror and heating and massage function electric seats, Dynaudio with bluetooth. I bought that car for 7500€ In 2022, it passed its technical inspection without any problems. In 2024, I passed the 200,000 km and decided to keep the car. I had the car technically overhauled for €5,800 The following was done: shock absorbers and dampers, wheel bearings, exhaust (end pipe), brake discs with pads, brake fluid, water pump, timing belt, alternator, thermostat, gearbox flush, major service, airco pump. Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires. Now (2026) 240,000 km without any problems. The car consumes an average of 1 liter of petrol per 10 km. The only issue is the paint; the varnish is peeling. The leather on the driver's seat is tearing, and the upholstery on the B-pillar is coming loose. otherwise a comfortable, smooth cruiser. Love it.

I currently own 2 Volvo's. My wife drives a 2014 S60 and I drive a 2013 S80. Both vehicles have by far exceeded all expectations. And the best part is Volvo covers all scheduled maintenance for 4 years and in the 19 months we owned our vehicles after the maintenance agreement was expired it has been repair free with just scheduled oil changes and new wiper blades. I'm satisfied enough to never purchase another vehicle again.
