I have a 2008 and my hood hinge never worked well hood fly up I had to replace the entire hood. Now engine fails. Oil leaking terribly

Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. I use to only own Hondas- I had Accords and Civics and they were very good cars. However while in college, I needed a new car and was on a shoestring budget. That landed me my first Ford- a Crown Victoria. Now that was an amazing car- very cheap to maintain, easy to work on, etc. It was so amazing, my next car was another Crown Victoria! It too was just as reliable, but unfortunately at over 200k miles and rusting out considerabily, it was time to upgrade. Unforuntately Ford doesn't make the Crown Victoria anymore, but being loyal to the brand, I started looking around. After researching for approximately a year, I felt comfortable enough to pull the trigger on the 2017 Ford C-Max Titanium Energi, and it was a very good decision! It's incredibly comfortable, the heated seats are amazing, and the visibility is awesome as well. The fuel economy is pretty amazing as well- I've averaged about 46 MPG since I got the car in November of 2024. There are a few things I would change if Ford were to ask me- first, there is no map light. The dome light is adequate but its over my head and behind me whereas a map light would be ideal because sometimes you need light directly above you. Second, on a cold day, when you set the heater on 90, the blower will blow cold air on you immediately before the engine is warmed up. Even my old 2005 Crown Victoria did not do this- the blower would not blow any air until the engine had warmed up. Beyond those two complaints, it's an amazing car and perfect for bopping around town.

I bought a used 2012 XC70 AWD with 65,000 miles after we were rear-ended in my Volvo 940. Before that one I had a 740 wagon in which I drove almost half a million trouble-free miles. I am not a fan of FWD (that's what this really is with traction control) but my mechanic told me the 3.2 engine was decent. After a test drive, I was really impressed and the turning radius wasn't bad so I bought it. I've now driven about 15,000 miles in it in varying conditions and I am hugely impressed. Despite its having 6 cylinders, the gas mileage is slightly better than my 940 and the difference in driving experience is like night and day. Although it doesn't corner quite as well as my earlier RWD models, the ride is much smoother and infinitely more comfortable. The seats are superb and the engine is so quiet, it almost feels like an electric vehicle. I love the heft of the chassis and the slightly higher ride than a regular car. The folks who have the turbo model speak highly of the performance, but the way I drive, the non-turbo one has plenty of power for my needs. The biggest pity is Volvo doesn't make cars like this any more. The newer ones look fancy but their 4 cylinder turbo motors just can't compare with a six. I expect repair costs to be somewhat high because of the way some components are situated under the hood, being difficult to get to, but until there's a problem I'm not going to worry about it. I love the 6-speed transmission and frankly, there's nothing about the car I don't like. Definitely better than an SUV in every way and more capable off-road than many 4WD vehicles. And it's classy looking. When you open and close the doors you know this is a quality vehicle with excellent engineering and it has safety features second to none.

I bought a used 2005 chrysler pt cruiser a few years ago. My wife found in in Trenton , NJ. It was a one owner with just over 30,000 miles on it. We only drove it a few blocks, tried the convertible top and was sold on it. I had a small accident a few years ago but it was fixed fantastic like new. I love my car everything works like new and always getting some compliants Inferno Red Black Top Will never sell it!

Bought my Crosstrek from the dealer, and have owned many cars, raced cars, built cars, and even owned my own auto repair shop. The 2013 was first year out, and yes it has improved over the years so I can't leave a 5-star review. The strong points for me have been reliability and looks. Secondary has been a 4cyl with great gas mileage, and decent performance. Interior noise is a little higher than an SUV like a 4Runner, sound system sucks, and Subaru probably should have mated it with a turbo, but overall it has been a great ride, and Subaru fixed many of these issues in later editions. The AWD is amazing in the rain! For those that have the oil consumption in later years, just add engine "restore", and the issue is solved. Replace your bearing w/ the backing plates, and you should be good to go for another 100K. For the first year out, Subaru did an amazing job.

long story short if your a business owner and looking to beef up your company with an ideal company vehicle especially a cargo van THIS IS THE VAN FOR YOU i am the owner of a security company for 12 years now i have had many cargo vans FORD CHEVY DODGE but nothing beats the style of a ford econoline but i have had quite a few of those over the years on 03 / 09 / 2020 i talked to a buddy of mine who owns a used car dealership and asked if he had had any ford transit connects on the lot and ofcourse he did but i didn't want new i wanted specifically USED and i found 3 that were 2010 fully restored fully detailed with a few nice customized touches but as i said long story short BUSINESS OWNER + FORD TRANSIT CONNECT = PERFECT COMBO happy hunting to all

We purchased a used TDI with 50K miles. now has over 150K and have only done oil changes and fuel filter. Only necessary repair was the HVAC blower motor just recently failed. Incredibly reliable car. Diesel engine paired with the 6 speed automatic trans delivers awesome torque whenever you need it. 50+ mpg on hwy trips and averaging 39 mpg commuting. The interior is obviously not luxurious but comfortable enough to keep you happy. I should mention the Stereo system and bluetooth is unreliable. Powers itself on and off at random and will require repair. The cargo area is surprisingly large when the seats are folded down as well.

Excellent service with their home pickup.drivers are great to talk to and very polite. Nice, clean quick work by the mechanics. Completely satisfied.

This car exceeds all expectations. It gets amazing gas mileage and provides ample power considering its 4 cylinder engine. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is operating a small business.

In 4 years only one problem, horn failed 3 times. Last time I had it mounted differently and never failed again. This was covered by warranty

The M5 is a beast. It is like 3 cars in one:1), an all electric automobile for 33 miles,2) a twin turbo V-8 hybrid with zero lag,3) a roomy/comfortable cruiser. It is missing a couple items that should be standard or available such as soft close doors and seat message. Otherwise, this is the best of both worlds.

Excellent staff, nice facilities. Too far from breakfast place. Place is a little too busy but that is a good sign. Dave the service manager is a very friendly person who really understands my needs.

Searched high and low for a nice vehicle for months. I visited tens of car lots and God just did not see fit for me to purchase from them. Either they jacked the prices up tremendously from what the vehicle was actually worth or when you would start the car, it had several code lights on. I took my time and I found swerve auto. Listen, when I spoke with Zach over the telephone, he was very confident in his vehicles and stood behind them in a way that made me want to come and see for myself. When I arrived to his lot, not only did he have great cars, trucks and SUV’s, but the prices was reasonable asking price to pay cash for. Zach was so nice and professional! All of his vehicles were cleaned up immaculately, I was afraid that I was over budget for the suv that I really wanted. Listen, Zach made a way for me to take my dream car home and listen it’s mine!! He was so passionate about making sure that I was happy, It was unbelievable. My truck was so clean it looked as if no one even ever drove it. Miles were low and again, the price was fair. I will definitely carry swerve auto’s card and info in my glove box because if and when I ever need anything else, I wouldn’t feel comfortable going to anyone but him. Awesome!!

My first Volvo coming from BMW’s. It’s very affordable to fix and initial cost. It’s comfortable and heated front and rear seats and steering wheel was a real selling point. Automatic transmission shifts ok also has sport mode or manual shifting options. Gas mileage is decent. Has start stop option you can turn on or off. Back up cam is great. Visibility all around is great for being a larger vehicle. No blind spots. Love it so far!

I was looking around on the OfferUp App back in March of 2017 and happened to come across this ad for a 1991 Corolla DX for $500 down in Stilwell, Kansas. It was covered in dirt in the pictures but looked pretty good so I drove down and had a look at her. She was sitting for the last 5 years in this guys back yard, no longer running because of a suspected blown head gasket. She only had 98K miles on her and her body and interior were all original in near immaculate condition. Well since her engine wasn't running (dead battery, missing coolant tube, I made an offer of $65 for the "scrap" value and the owner accepted my offer! He even had his son tow it to my house, no charge. Well, I pulled her engine apart and yes indeed, a blown head gasket between cylinders 1 and 2. Long story short, spent the next several months giving "Ruby" some much needed TLC and I get compliments from everyone who sees her now about how great my 1991 Corolla DX looks! I drove her from Kansas City to San Diego and back on a 4,000-mile round trip throughout the Western US and Ruby ran like a champ and I was averaging well over 30 mpg on the highway (34+ mpg). What a wonderful little car. I will be keeping Ruby for as long as we both shall live! She now has about 107K miles and still pushes 190 psi compression on all 4 cylinders.

He went over and above to satisfy me. Over all experience was fantastic!

Our 2015 2.4L Soul has been great. My wife works a split shift, so she commutes to and from work Twice a day. So it gets a lot of highway miles. We also have gone cross country a few times. Always serviced at the dealer (which is more expensive), But it kept the warranty alive. Engine needed replaced at 95K due to oil consumption, but warranty covered it. Now at 220K AC compressor died. But that is the 1st repair we have had to do. Everything else is holding up fine.
