25K trouble free miles so far. Everybody picks on the 55 kW maximum charge speed, but the car is so efficient that it still adds 100 mi in ½ an hour at a DC station. Imagine a 200 HP Fit, and you've got the idea. Zero dollars on maintenance/repair.

I am buying a used car after 8 years, and this was great experience. No haggle is what I care. I was not forced to buy GAP insurance or anything else. The only complaint is, the lady taking down payment at the cashier was hesitant to tell me the details of the transactions before making a payment and showing attitude, but everyone else was great. Overall loved this car- owned a 2016 from fall 2018 until winter 2023. Handled great in all weather (including upstate NY winters with lake effect snow), had decent cargo space, towed my tiny camper (1100lb loaded) with no issues. Wish it had the higher (3500lb) tow capacity that the older wagons had- I ended up trading it in for a midsize truck because I'm getting a larger camper. My one MAJOR issue with the vehicle was that there was a design flaw in the piston rings that caused excessive oil consumption. Not all engines with the rings have issues, and Volvo found and corrected the issue in mid 2016 in the factory, but mine was from before then and at it's worst in fall '22 (@~83K miles) I was going through a quart of oil in 500 miles. Thankfully, Volvo covered the repair (I squeaked it in at the last minute of my CPO warranty, but Volvo customer service said that they typically cover it even without warranty), but if they hadn't it I would have ended up looking for a truck several months earlier because the repair would have been several thousand dollars... Overall, as much as I like my new truck, I miss this car.

I also stopped in the Service Dept. and spoke with service consultant Derek Watson with a few questions I had about issues with my old 2006 Explorer.
