The chassis, engine, and functioning systems all do their job well. It is a 4 cylinder Honda engine designed for economy, and economy is what it does. This car is light, spacious, and utilitarian. Perfect for a first car, college student, or rideshare driver. The downsides are the electronic suite and other normal problems that arise from planned obsolescence. The software that governs the entertainment and safety systems is pretty bad. A finicky touchscreen, sluggish response, and settings that get erased every time you start the engine are a nuisance. Apple CarPlay synergy is ugly. Most importantly, the CMBS system is outright DANGEROUS. My Fit has braked in the middle of the road at high speeds when no collision threats exist.

This things fits EVERYTHING! I purchased this preowned back in 2021 with 48k miles on it. With 4 years of ownership and only 13k miles later, I’ve only ever had to keep up with maintenance including a set of new tires and one recall. Last summer I did notice some plastic paneling in the rear rattling that drove me nuts but haven’t heard it since so let’s hope it doesn’t start anew. With it being so cheap to maintain and the fact it sips gas, I have a hard time finding a justifiable reason to upgrade!

This fit has good visibility and is very responsive. It is quite comfortable and the gas mileage is excellent. The road hazard alerts are a bit over-reactive and not always accurate but this feature can be deactivated. I love the fit so much that I have bought a second one for family members to use.
