I purchased a vehicle from Provo GMC and have driven it less than 2,000 miles. In that short time, it’s already been in the shop three times and now it needs a completely new engine. Before the engine failure, I even tried to sell it back to Provo GMC at a financial loss, hoping to cut my losses early, but they wouldn't even consider it. It’s clear to me now that there were underlying issues from the beginning. I’m incredibly disappointed by how this situation has been handled and by the lack of accountability from the dealership. I expected better both in terms of product quality and customer care. -
They put the steal in stealership. Avoid this dealership at all costs. I recently purchased a used truck from this dealership that I had to top off the coolant, window wash, and motor oil which the oil was 1 quart low. Add to that, they didn't bother to repair an obvious defect with the tubing that connects the windshield wipers to the window washing pump. The tubing was taped together with athletic tape. This truck had sat on their lot for nearly 3 months and they didn't know about it? I have a hard time believing they didn't know about it and didn't bother to fix it. I also believe they didn't bother running any history on the vehicle to make sure it had any of the TSB's performed on the truck either. The GM eight speed transmissions are known to have an issue with the factory fluid used at the time of manufacture and servicing up until 2019. I am stuck with needing to replace the transmission fluid and filter due to the dreaded GM 8 speed transmission shudder. This issue is intermittent and wasn't noticed during my test drive of the vehicle. In closing, do not, I repeat DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from this outfit.

Here are all the negative points i have found driving the first few thousand miles with my 2026 gmc sierra elevation. 1. Terrible stock windshield wipers 2. Windshield Defroster doesnt cover the edges well 3. Radio cuts out sporadically. 4. If there is any ice caught in door handles after you get in , you get trapped in the truck because mechanism doesnt reset. 5. Poor quality interior parts. (Minor defects/ scratches. 6. Cant turn off Auto start/stop. 7. Tiny gastank (20gal) 8. Weak window motors compared to ram 9. Weak wiper motors compared to ram 10. Aerodynamics of hood cause any melting snow or ice to spray windshield (never encountered this on any of the other dozen trucks ive owned). 11. Electronics are finicky, they dont work sporadically so its hard to diagnose. 12. Leather is cheap and stretched/worn already on the driver seat. 13. Very small and inefficient center console. 14. Large gaps (holes) where rear seatbelts plug in causing things to constantly fall down there and get lost. 15. Poor storage under rear seat(see aftermarket fix.) 16. No return policy. A little expensive, but comfortable, quiet, smooth ride. Great performance out of the 6.2L and better than expected fuel economy in the low 20s. Outstanding interior and good looking exterior, especially in the Downpour Metallic color. I don’t have 700 miles on it yet and have owned it for 3 weeks. Therefore, I can’t pass judgement yet on the reliability, but so far I am very satisfied. This replaced an 8 year old Ford F150 that served me quite well with only a couple of issues in the 100,000 plus miles. - Purchased a New car
