I bought this Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE October 2022. It is January 2024, there are 76,000 miles on it. A month ago, the check engine light came on so I took it in, got the oil changed and had them plug in the diagnostic tool to see what codes came up. They were able to clear most of them but said I needed a solenoid for the cam shaft or something like that...I'm not a mechanic. Friday they put the solenoid in and the check engine light is still on 😡 they said it is an actuator in the engine and that the engine would probably have to be removed $$$$$ I envisioned myself hemorrhaging dollars. They said I should take it to Land Rover in Portland and I said xxxx no. I took it and traded it in on a 2023 Chevy Camaro which will be delivered to my house on Tuesday. My friend in England said they were not good cars and I should've listened. So no more Land Rovers for this chick 🐥

Outstanding vehicle ... gas mileage between 28-32 mpg. Oil changes a bit on the pricey side typically would not take to the dealer there are other options that are less expensive, other than that as long as its under warranty (and that is the case with any high-end vehicle) you are golden.

These look great and are very comfortable with a nice solid ride, HOWEVER the "high maintenance" factor FAR outweighs all that .... especially at the price point even the slightly used ones START at! i had a beautiful looking White discovery with the all black trim level and it rode nice, HOWEVER it was in the dealer service dept 4 of the 5 months i owned it multiple times.... MOSTLY for a "low battery - start engine" warning that they could not seem to fix (ever) .... it got so bad one time the vehicle totally locked me out of it and i had to pop open the fob to get the "emergency" key to get in and open hoof to then jump start (which took about 15 tries over about 20 min of being hooked up to my Fiat500 "spare" car ....) RIDICULOUS & so annoying - i finally traded this lemon in for a VW Taos.
