I have owned Honda's for 25+ years and recommended them

I have owned Honda's for 25+ years and recommended them to my family and friends. This ridgeline has been a disappointment with multiple electrical issues that Honda refuses to cover. At 65k the blindspot sensor stopped working due to a short somewhere, even though this is part of the safety system and should be covered for life of vehicle Honda told me to pound salt. Now at 112k the alarm has started going off randomly which is a known issue due to failure to seal the control unit TBS 21-055. Again Honda is saying TFB you can shell out thousands to fix what is part of the ignition system and should be covered for the life of the vehicle. Imagine it malfunctions while driving what would happen. Well I don't have to imagine because GM had that happen and people died. Apparently Honda wants to be the next GM. Last Honda I will buy, sad :(

I've greatly enjoyed this truck since new.

I've greatly enjoyed this truck since new. It's very comfortable and gets good milage for an AWD vehicle. However, I've had two expensive repairs. Early cam belt replacement at $1850 and a sensor failure at $1500. I'm a big Honda fan, but this is not a good feeling.

Great, But Not Perfect

I leased my Ridgeline in January 2017 and bought it out of its lease at the end of 2019. I love that it's quiet, smooth, and drives more like a car or luxury SUV than a truck. The interior is sleek and I really like the in-bed trunk. I drive mostly highway miles and get ~24 mpg. It's closer to 25+ in the summer and 22 in the winter. It always shifted strangely and in 2021 (at 140,000 miles), it seized up and I brought it in for a diagnosis. They said my catalytic converters were fried, which was a $5,000 fix. Earlier that year, it had some fuel injector issues that were covered by recall. Asking the mechanic, he thought the fuel injector issue may have caused the catalytic converter damage. The next summer (at 180,000 miles), the same seize-up issue happened, so we replaced the transmission, which has fixed the issue. It shifts better now than it ever has. Luckily, my dealer was good to work with and did it at cost. I have only towed on two or three occasions, so I was surprised by the transmission issues. Overall, I have been satisfied with the vehicle and would buy another Ridgeline. It's big enough to tow the few small things I need to, the interior is comfortable and quiet, smooth driving, and I have been able to achieve the posted fuel economy (18/25).
