(upbeat music) I'm Dave Thomas with cars.com. We're here at the Chicago Auto Show, not known as a place for exotic debuts, but we've got one here. It's called the Yes! Roadster, making its American debut right here in Chicago.
The Yes! Roadster comes with two different engines, a regular 3.2 liter V6, which puts out 255 horsepower and a turbocharged version, which puts out 381 horsepower. If that's not enough for you, you can buy an upgrade to that turbo. And it gets over 440 horsepower. Like most cars made for the track, the Yes! Roadster isn't easiest to get into, but it has a very cool door. And then you got to step into it, kind of slide in, throw your leg over the side and lock yourself in. The interior is also made for the track. This is an up-level trim, which is nice leather seats that you can get as an a a la carte option, but also it comes very stripped. So if you just want to go to the track, it comes with a cloth and not too many amenities. The pedals for the gas clutch and brake are extremely close together and tight, but it's made for people with racing shoes on, ready for the track, and not people with dress shoes like me. Will say, we gotta like the Yes Roadster's doors. They're scissor like, kind of like Lamborghini, but smaller and open with a push of a button. Now if speeds your thing, that's what the Yes! Roadster is all about. The 381 horsepower and a turbo, it gets to 60 in under four seconds, which is just incredible. That's because it's really light. It's under 2000 pounds. There's not a lot of storage space in the Roadster, has a very small storage compartment, certainly not a trunk in the front of the car, and it can fit basically the roof, which is a convertible roof that snaps on. And that's about it. But they do make a custom fit luggage that can go in there as well. Of course, for an extra fee. One little oddity with this exotic is the gas cap is right here, dead center in the hood, which is a little odd, but you better make sure you don't spill any gas when you fill up. So what's the downside. Well, it is an exotic. So the Yes! Roaster starts at $78,000. The turbo starts at $97,000, but there are lots of options, lots of upgrades. We price it all the way up to $150,000. The first 50 of these cars are going to be sold this year in the US at exotic dealerships, so you better go hurry and get one. <v Narrator>For additional information on this car or any other, go to cars.com and our blog KickingTires.
