June continues to be a difficult month for Ford, as the automaker is now recalling more than 132,900 Aviator SUVs from its luxury brand Lincoln over issues with the trim on the rear door window bars and C-pillars. This is the automaker’s seventh major recall of the month.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2020-25 Aviators. The issue is due to insufficient adhesive bonding, which may allow the trim pieces to detach from the vehicle. This can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will repair or replace C-pillar appliques and window division bars, as necessary, for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 28, and second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Those with further questions in the meantime can contact Ford at 866-436-7332 (the number for this recall is 25S66), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
