Ch-Ch-Changes: 2011 Dodge Caliber

The 2011 Caliber is available in Express, Heat, Mainstreet, Uptown and Rush trim levels, the same odd names introduced last year. The Heat, Uptown and Rush now come with electronic stability control standard; the feature was optional last year. All models get retuned steering for a more direct, precise feel.

The Caliber gets a new navigation system, which comes equipped with Sirius Travel Link that displays weather, local fuel prices, sports scores and movie listings.

The Mainstreet trim now gets a standard six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The performance-oriented Rush trim gets red or blue accent stitching added to the leather upholstery option. The Uptown trim now offers optional 18-inch chrome-clad wheels.

The Caliber is available in eight exterior colors, six of which are new: Redline 2, Mango Tango, Blackberry, Dark Charcoal, Bright White and Tungsten Metallic (late availability).

Gas mileage on the Caliber has improved to 23/32 mpg city/highway with the five-speed manual (1 highway mpg better than the 2010 model) and 23/27 mpg with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

There is no word on pricing or availability of the 2011 Caliber as of this time.
