2015 Audi A3: Recall Alert
CARS.COM
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,100 model-year 2015 Audi A3 1.8T front-wheel-drive S tronic cars and 2.0T Quattro S tronic cars
The Problem: The safety certification label has an incorrect vehicle production date, which in the event of a safety recall may prevent owners from determining whether the recall affects them, increasing the risk of a crash or an injury.
The Fix: Dealers will install an overlay label containing the correct vehicle production date for free.
What Owners Should Do: Audi manufacturer Volkswagen did not immediately announce an owner notification schedule. Owners can call Audi at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
