CARS.COM — It was a jam-packed kickoff to the 2016 North American International Auto Show, and Cars.com was there to cover it all. Our staff got a close look at some 20 major new vehicles today at Cobo Center in Detroit, and we’re only through the first day.
About a dozen of the debuts were from luxury brands such as Lexus with the 2017 LC 500, BMW with the 2017 M2 and X4 M40i, Audi with the A4, Mercedes-Benz with the E-Class and SLC-Class, Volvo with the S90, Buick with the Envision, Infiniti with the Q60 and the newly distinguished G90 from Hyundai’s Genesis luxury brand. This year’s slate of concept cars included the Audi H-Tron Quattro, Kia Telluride, Buick Avista and Volkswagen Tiguan GTE Active. Other standouts included the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan and the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt plug-in electric vehicle.
We’ll be back on the scene Tuesday to cover Day Two of the show. In the meantime, here’s what you might’ve missed today:
