CARS.COM — Buick’s refresh of the 2017 Encore is subtle, elegant and, dare we say, refreshing. Now bowing at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, the subcompact SUV wears a new version of the brand’s tri-shield emblem with chrome wings that span the width of its signature waterfall grille. The LED headlights have a flattened-out brow that gives it a more serious demeanor.
Other exterior updates to the fresh-faced Encore include reduced cladding around the fog lights, the elimination of the eyelike circles in the center of the fog lights and new 10-bladed-fan wheels. Inside, the Encore gets a restyled dash with a new, lower 8-inch touch-screen, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have been added to the IntelliLink infotainment system.
