Vehicles Affected: Approximately 550 model-year 2018 Audi S5 cabriolets equipped with Super Sport seats
The Problem: The seat-mounted head/thorax airbag in the front passenger seat may have been folded incorrectly during installation, which could lead to improper deployment in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of an injury.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the front passenger-seat-mounted head/thorax airbag for free.
What Owners Should Do: Audi manufacturer Volkswagen will begin notifying owners on July 13. Owners can call the automaker at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
