Vehicles Affected: Approximately 11,900 model-year 2020 Hyundai Nexo SUVs and Sonata sedans

The Problem: The Remote Smart Parking Assist software may fail to prevent vehicle movement upon detection of a system malfunction, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will reprogram the Remote Smart Parking Assist software for free.

What Owners Should Do: Hyundai will begin notifying owners of the recall June 4. Owners can call the automaker at 855-371-9460, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
