2024 Cadillac XT4 Gets New Styling, Safety Tech, 33-Inch Touchscreen

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 luxury compact SUV debuts a mid-cycle refresh that not only enhances exterior styling, but also adds noticeable upgrades to the interior, including a new 33-inch digital LED screen.

The exterior styling of the 2024 XT4 has been refreshed, and like the recently updated Chevrolet Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX, the Cadillac’s styling goes in an evolutionary direction. The redesigned front features a new grille design and LED running lights in the top corners, while the LED headlights are now vertically mounted by the corner vents. Out back, the reflector lights have been moved more toward the side and are also vertically mounted. New 18- and 20-inch alloy wheel options are available.

Inside, a large 33-inch LED touchscreen combines the infotainment and instrument panels, replacing the outgoing model’s analog gauges. Cadillac claims the screen is inspired by the one in the Lyriq electric SUV, but in the XT4, it’s curved toward the driver for improved visibility and usability. The system also comes with Google Built-In technology, as well as Amazon Alexa and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Cadillac kept the rest of the interior mostly the same, including the button controls below the screen, the shifter and the rotary dial for the infotainment system.
For 2024, the XT4 comes with several newly standard safety and driver-assist features, including blind spot steering assist, lane departure steering assist with lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, automatic high beams, a second-row seat belt indicator and a following distance indicator. An Active Safety Package, available on the Premium Luxury and Sport trims, adds automatic emergency braking for intersections, speed limit assist and traffic sign recognition.
Performance is carried over from the 2023 model, with all XT4s being powered by a 235-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but buyers can swap it out for an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Pricing and Release Date
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 will be making its way to dealerships in the summer. Pricing will be released closer to the model’s launch, and buyers will be able to choose from three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.
