2024 Range Rover Velar Receives Refresh, Revamps Interior
Land Rover’s Range Rover Velar will be getting a refresh for the 2024 model year, with what the marque calls a “reductionist” interior and other changes to keep the luxury SUV fresh against a pool of rivals.

The interior is where the bulk of these “reductionist” changes can be found, and it’s also perhaps the biggest gamble Land Rover has taken recently. Unlike the outgoing model, the 2024 Velar will have no hard buttons or dials for certain features; instead, all controls move to a new 11.4-inch infotainment system. Featuring a floating curved-glass display, the system benefits from the newest version of Land Rover’s Pivi Pro software, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa and over-the-air updates. A redesigned center stack and dashboard complement the new tech and offer a minimalist look. Leather upholstery is still available, while the leather-free option uses a combination of wool and polyurethane inserts.
Outside, the Velar gets new headlights flanking a reworked front grille, allowing the SUV to fall in step with Land Rover’s current design language. It also gets a redesigned rear bumper and LED taillights.
The 2024 Range Rover Velar is down to two powertrain options. Base P250 models use a 247-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while P400 variants feature a mild-hybrid 395-hp, turbo 3.0-liter inline-six; the P340 and its 335-hp inline-six have been dropped. An all-new eight-speed automatic transmission is mated to the 2.0-liter, which the brand says is smoother than the outgoing one, and all-wheel drive is standard.
