2025 Infiniti QX60 Gets VC-Turbo Engine, Black Edition Package

Infiniti’s bestselling model, the three-row QX60, looks unchanged from 2024, but the SUV gets a new Black Edition Package and big changes under the hood for the new model year. Gone is the 3.5-liter V-6 engine; in its place is Infiniti’s unique variable-compression-ratio four-cylinder.

Updated Powertrain
The turbocharged 2.0-liter’s 268 horsepower is a drop of 27 compared to the V-6 in the 2024 model, but its 286 pounds-feet of torque represents an increase of 16. Backing the VC-Turbo, which is Infiniti’s name for the engine, is a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the three lower trim levels, with all-wheel drive available for $2,000; AWD is standard on the range-topping Autograph trim.
Fuel economy with the new engine increases slightly from the 2024 QX60’s figures, per Infiniti, with front-drive SUVs rated at 22/28/24 mpg city/highway/combined and AWD variants returning 22/27/24 (official 2025 figures are not yet available). The 2024 QX60 was rated at 21/26/23 mpg with FWD and 20/25/22 mpg with AWD. Towing capacity with the four-cylinder is unchanged from the V-6 QX60, at 6,000 pounds.
Fade to Black

A new Black Edition Package is now available for the mid-level Luxe trim; it can be had on black, white and gray QX60s. It features black finishes on the 20-inch wheels, roof rails, grille surround and exterior badging, as well as an illuminated Infiniti logo in the grille and a black headliner. The QX60 Luxe also gets a newly standard 17-speaker Bose audio system. All trim levels now feature keyless entry and starting with a fob that automatically unlocks the doors as the driver approaches the vehicle and locks it as they walk away.

The base Pure trim level rides on charcoal-finished 18-inch wheels and features a panoramic moonroof, power liftgate, LED head- and taillights, and keyless entry and starting. The Luxe is fitted with dark-silver 20-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, navigation and the 17-speaker Bose sound system. Its interior is spruced up with ventilated front seats, heated outboard second-row seats and silver interior trim.
Beyond the additional tech of the Luxe, the Sensory focuses more on luxury, riding on charcoal-metallic 20-inch wheels and featuring a hands-free liftgate with a kick sensor, chrome exterior trim, massaging front seats, open-pore ash wood interior trim and ambient lighting.
At the top of the line sits the Autograph. In addition to standard AWD, it features a trailer-hitch receiver, adaptive headlights that turn with the steering wheel, second-row captain’s chairs, quilted and perforated semi-aniline leather upholstery with contrast stitching and piping, and a head-up display.
