Affected vehicles include model-year 2022-24 NX, NX Hybrid and NX Plug-in Hybrid SUVs. The 7-inch instrument display may go partially blank during startup, failing to display certain warnings or indicators like engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature or electrical charge to the driver. A lack of awareness of these levels the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, dealers will update the combination meter software for free. Toyota will begin sending notification letters to owners Dec. 7, but those with further questions can contact the automaker at 800-331-4331 (Toyota’s number for this recall is 26LA10), call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
