We cover car sales here at KickingTires, not the rental industry, but we have to admit the custom Shelby GT-H is one rental that might satiate the need to actually buy a muscle car. A while back we heard reports that the GT-H would be going for as much as $300 a day at the rental counter.

That steep number seems to have been inaccurate, as USA Today ran a story today stating that Hertz in San Francisco is charging $129 a day for the GT-H. The story is actually about Carroll Shelby, the man behind the new design, but we wanted to update that price figure ASAP. The high-powered Mustang is available to rent only in select cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
