First Call: Orders Open for Electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona

Dodge’s electric-vehicle era is officially beginning, as orders for the 2024 Charger Daytona are now open. If you need a brief refresher, the Charger name applies to both the next-generation sedan and coupe (or hatchback if you prefer that term regardless of the vehicle’s profile). The EVs are Charger Daytonas; when gas-powered versions of the cars arrive in late 2025 or early 2026, they will be called Charger Sixpacks.

For now, Dodge is accepting orders only for the Charger Daytona coupe, which is available in the R/T and Scat Pack trim levels. Buyers who place an order or purchase their Charger Daytona by Oct. 31, 2024, will receive the First Call Package, which entails a two-day performance driving school, VIP concierge services and exclusive goodies, including Dodge-branded leather driving gloves and a letter of authenticity.

Seeking Direct Connection
Those who order after that cutoff will still get something special: Every 2024 model year R/T is fitted with Dodge’s Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade. Including PowerShot, which boosts the electric powertrain’s output by 40 horsepower for up to 15 seconds at a time, the R/T generates 496 hp and 404 pounds-feet of torque. Scat Packs feature a Stage 2 upgrade good for a maximum of 670 hp and 627 pounds-feet with PowerShot. Dodge has not yet shared powertrain specs without the Direct Connection upgrades.
Charger Daytona coupes will arrive at dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2024. The R/T starts at $61,590 and the Scat Pack at $75,185 (both prices include the $1,995 destination fee). Interested shoppers can go to DodgeGarage.com and use the Horsepower Locator to find nearby dealers who have been allotted Charger Daytonas or can help order one.
