GM Raising Prices, Slightly

To combat increased material costs, GM is raising prices on a third of its 2007 models. The price bumps will be small, between $60 and $425, with most falling in the $90 – $120 range. The main reason for the move is the rising cost of steel, though GM says it also includes “other commodities.” We don’t believe the well-documented health care costs GM is experiencing is factored into this price hike. Small price hikes like this are also common among import manufacturers.
