How Much Did Ford and Lincoln Raise Prices After Tariffs Went Into Effect?

Ford announced it would raise prices on its Mexican-assembled models produced from May 2 (all dates 2025 unless otherwise noted) onwards in response to new tariffs instated on automobiles, automotive parts and key vehicle components imported into the U.S. Around the same time, Ford’s luxury brand Lincoln also quietly increased the price on its Chinese-made Nautilus SUV. We break down exactly how much those prices have increased below.

All prices are from J.D. Power data, current as of May 8. Prices include destination fees, as that’s one less obvious way automakers can raise prices. All of Ford Motor Co.’s latest price changes listed here went into effect May 2.
How Much Have Prices Increased for the 2025 Ford Maverick?
Prices for the Mexican-assembled Maverick went up by as much as 4.37% on the base XL trim. That’s still not enough of a price increase to swap it out as our 2025 Best Value Compact Pickup, but it’s not negligible, either. Aside from one brief reduction in price for the XL, XLT and Lariat trims on Oct. 7, 2024, Maverick pricing has risen steadily since the earliest price we could find in the system for it — $22,490 for a base variant on Oct. 3, 2022. Post-tariff prices were not increased evenly across the board, with the lowest-optioned trim levels (which typically have lower profit margins) bearing the highest increases in price.
The new 2025 Maverick prices are as follows. Price increases compared with the Maverick’s last pricing update (Feb. 10 for the XL and XLT and Jan. 27 for the Lariat, Tremor and Lobo trims) are noted in parentheses:
- XL: $29,840 (increase of $1,250; up 4.37%)
- XLT: $32,340 (increase of $1,250; up 4.02%)
- Lobo: $37,625 (increase of $775; up 2.1%)
- Lariat: $40,135 (increase of $1,250; up 3.21%)
- Tremor: $42,690 (increase of $745; up 1.78%)

How Much Have Prices Increased for the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E?
The Mustang Mach-E electric SUV is also assembled in Mexico and subject to price increases. It gets the largest increases across the Ford line, with the mid-level Premium seeing the biggest price increase by percentage. Even with the pricing update, though, the Mach-E still starts at less than its 2021 debut price of $44,995, which remains its highest entry-level trim price.
Here are the pricing updates that went live May 2, with all prices being compared to their last pricing update on Oct. 22, 2024:
- Select: $39,990 (increase of $1,500; up 3.9%)
- Premium: $43,990 (increase of $2,000; up 4.76%)
- GT: $56,490 (increase of $2,000; up 3.67%)
While the Mustang Mach-E Rally is often separated out from the other trims on Ford’s consumer-facing sites, the Rally is treated as a $3,995 package added to the GT trim.

How Much Have Prices Increased for the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus?
The Chinese-built Lincoln Nautilus hasn’t risen too much in price since its base trim’s low point of $52,010 on May 21, 2024. While these changes are part of the brand’s usual midyear pricing adjustments, a Lincoln representative told Cars.com that tariffs did factor into the price increase, but the new pricing does not include existing inventory on dealership lots — it only applies to Nautilus models produced after May 2.
The Nautilus is Lincoln’s only model assembled outside the U.S., so it’s extra vulnerable to import tariffs, and even more so given that China has been one of the U.S.’s most targeted countries when it comes to escalating retaliatory tariffs. As with Ford’s lineup, the highest increases by percentage tend to be on the lower-end models.
Here are the recent pricing changes, with all prices being compared to the previous pricing update on Oct. 15, 2024:
- Premiere: $55,535 (increase of $2,050; up 3.83%)
- Reserve: $64,775 (increase of $2,070; up 3.3%)
- Black Label: $78,725 (increase of $2,080; up 2.71%)
