How Much Is the 2027 Dodge Charger?
What Car Shoppers Need to Know
- Dodge is adding numerous personalization options to the 2027 Charger.
- The Charger Daytona is an all-wheel-drive electric vehicle with 670 horsepower and a 267-mile range.
- The Charger Sixpack has a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder gas engine.
Dodge crams a lot of variety into the Charger nameplate. There’s the Charger Daytona, which is an EV with dual electric motors good for 630 horsepower or 670 hp with PowerShot 10-second bursts. Then there’s the Charger Sixpack with an old-fashioned, dinosaur-burning turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine. Both are available in two- and four-door hatchback body styles, and the Sixpack’s engine comes in two output levels: the Scat Pack producing 130 hp more than the R/T.

What’s Changed for 2027?
There are no major changes to the Charger for the ‘27 model year, but Dodge has considerably expanded the menu of personalization options outside and in. Buyers can now add a Satin Black hood, new stripes over the top of the car, fresh bodyside graphics, and orange or black Brembo brake calipers. New interior options include red seat belts and blue leather seats with red stitching.
Range and Fuel Economy
In the Charger lineup, “Daytona” means EV and “Sixpack” refers to a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine that Dodge calls the Hurricane. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack gets dual electric motors for standard all-wheel drive as well as a combined 670 hp and 627 pounds-feet of torque. With 93.9 kilowatt-hours of usable energy, the Daytona has a manufacturer-estimated rated range of 267 miles. Dodge says it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and clear the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds.
The gas-powered Sixpack R/T gets the standard-output Hurricane engine, which makes 420 hp and 468 pounds-feet of torque. Dodge says it’s good for a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds. In the Sixpack Scat Pack, the high-output Hurricane generates 550 hp and 531 pounds-feet, accelerating from 0-60 mph in a claimed 3.9 seconds. In both the R/T and Scat Pack, the engine is backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD with a rear-drive mode.
Standard or Optional Features
Standard safety technologies on the 2027 Dodge Charger include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane departure steering assist, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert and a driver attention monitor.
In addition, the Charger Sixpack R/T features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED front lighting, and keyless entry and start. Inside it gets manually adjustable cloth seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system.
All Plus trim levels include upgraded LED headlights with signature lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power liftgate, power tilt/telescoping steering column and adjustable ambient lighting Dodge calls Attitude Adjustment. The upholstery in Plus trims is upgraded to synthetic leather, synthetic leather and synthetic suede, or real leather, trim level depending. Plus trims also get an upgraded tech package with a 360-degree camera system, 16-inch digital instrument cluster, Amazon Alexa, navigation, wireless phone charging and a head-up display. The R/T Plus also includes a sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch wheels, nine-speaker audio system, paddle shifters, and front, side and rear parking sensors (which are also standard on the Sixpack Scat Pack).
Along with more horsepower and torque, the Sixpack Scat Pack gets a further upgraded performance suspension, Brembo front brakes, launch control, a line lock (which holds the front brakes while releasing the rears for ferocious burnouts), black spoiler, and a mix of cloth and synthetic leather upholstery.
The Daytona Scat Pack is equipped similarly to the Sixpack Scat Pack, but includes three selectable levels of regenerative braking and Dodge’s Fratzonic synthesized exhaust sound. Some of the Plus equipment is standard on even the base EV, including the rain-sensing windshield wipers, 16-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, Amazon Alexa and head-up display. The Daytona Scat Pack Plus trim includes the remaining Plus features.
Versus the Competition
In both gas and EV forms, the 2027 Dodge Charger is pricier than its rivals. While Dodge touts the Sixpack as offering “the most standard horsepower of any muscle car,” the price difference between it and the Ford Mustang is such that, even upgraded to the GT’s 480-hp, 5.0-liter V-8, the Mustang easily undercuts the Charger. While the Charger Daytona’s standard 630 hp is impressive, its substantial weight means the lighter — and cheaper — competition is as quick or quicker while offering superior range.
