CARS.COM — Just a year into its third generation, the Hyundai Tucson sports a few changes for 2017. Hyundai redesigned the compact SUV for 2016, but it placed last in Cars.com’s recent Compact SUV Challenge as judges docked points for its stingy cargo space, undersized standard multimedia system and lurch-prone transmission.

Like before, the Tucson comes in SE, Eco, Sport and Limited trims. Here are the changes for 2017:
As before, SE models pair a 164-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. Other trims have a 175-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder and seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic.
The 2017 Tucson is on sale now. Prices with destination essentially carry over — from about $23,500 for the front-drive SE to around $35,000 for a factory-loaded, all-wheel-drive Limited.
