Which Should You Buy, 2021 or 2022? Relatively modest price increases for most trims and increased standard safety equipment for the base SE make the 2022 Palisade the better choice; you’d also avoid a potentially bigger hit on depreciation than with a model-year 2021 version.

Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control with full stop-and-go capability; forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection; blind spot and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist; lane-keeping assist; automatic high beams; rear-seat occupant alert; safe exit alert; and driver attention warning. Available safety features include a surround-view monitor and the Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous highway driving system.
Engine
All Palisade trims use a 291-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 engine matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission and either standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.
Interior
The Palisade has a well-equipped, upscale interior with seating for up to eight in three rows. The first and second rows are spacious and comfortable, although third-row room is limited.
