Jeep Teases Next-Gen Compass Due in 2026
The Jeep Compass has traveled a long road since its last redesign, as the current generation dates back to the 2017 model year. Now, the finish line is in sight. Jeep has released a preview of the next-gen Compass, which will launch in Europe in 2025 before U.S. sales begin in 2026.

The teaser sketch doesn’t tell us much, showing a silhouetted compact SUV in profile. It looks as if the upcoming Compass will shrink the current SUV’s bulky D-pillar, which should open up that considerable blind spot. We do, however, know the next-generation Compass will be built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which is a scaled-down relative of the STLA Large architecture that underpins the new Dodge Charger.
Like the Charger, which is split into electric Daytona and gas-powered Sixpack lines, the upcoming Compass will, in Jeep’s words, “offer various multi-energy propulsion systems.” Expect turbocharged four-cylinder gas engines to be on the menu; the Dodge Hornet R/T’s hybrid four-cylinder is a possibility. And, as the STLA Medium platform is designed to accommodate EV battery packs, a plug-in option could be available, too. With fall here and auto-show season upon us, we should be seeing the all-new Jeep Compass in the sheet metal soon.
