We have been wholly impressed with the Lucid Gravity. The second EV from the California automaker imparts a feeling of expert engineering and execution rare among upstart automakers. But the electric three-row SUV launched with one glaring omission: no smartphone connectivity.

Lucid has remedied that. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard in the Gravity, and existing owners can add the functionality with an over-the-air update. For both existing vehicles and new builds, the capability includes wireless and wired connections.
Our experiences with the upper-level Grand Touring and the entry-level Touring have left us with nothing but praise for the Gravity. We called it “one of the most interesting and alluring electric luxury SUVs on the market today” in our review of the SUV. And with seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration now standard, there are even fewer critiques that can be leveled against this stunning family-friendly EV.
