Following the debut of the / at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the truckmaker took the opportunity to reveal a new Sport Package for the heavy-duty lineup at the 2019 New England International Auto Show in Boston. The Boston show runs through Monday if you live in the area and want to check it out.

The Sport Package offers a popular monochromatic design theme with body-color bumpers, door handles and grille surrounds. The grille remains the focal point of the front end with chrome slats and the Ram name in the center; all badging also is unchanged. Inside, the Sport Package offers the black headliner and Piano Black interior accents with roughened copper highlights seen on the new interior.
The new package will be available on the Big Horn/Lone Star and Laramie trims for the 2500 and 3500, which means that all cab and powertrain configurations will be available with this new package as well. The Sport Package offers 12 colors including the three newest: Billet Silver, Patriot Blue and Diamond Black Crystal.
This new package is part of Ram's strategy to bring many of the light-duty Ram 1500's popular features and ordering configurations to the HD lineup. If history is any indication, we assume Ram will unveil more special editions and unique ordering packages as other HD truckmakers roll out their newest versions. We expect to see the coming and 2020 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 models in the near future, which will also have a strong resemblance to their lighter-duty counterparts.
