Vehicles Affected: Approximately 450 model-year 2015-16 Ram 1500 pickup trucks manufactured between Jan. 22 and Sept. 13, 2015
The Problem: Contamination on the electric power steering control circuit board may cause a short, resulting in a loss of power steering assist; this will necessitate extra steering effort, especially at lower speeds, and increase the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the EPS unit for free.
